I think that after the open station of Alsager we should have reversed onto the Audley Branch, the next station then being:

Unfortunately, you appear to have reversed direction and that station was heading towards Market Drayton, whereas after Silverdale, we were heading in the Stoke-on-Trent direction where we would be able to access the line of the NSR Stoke to Leek line.

Am not venturing here, to enter into dispute with our respected oracle; just an oddity which I seem to have stumbled upon. Dewick's Complete Atlas of Railway Names (which I used as my sole source here -- as I tend to, quite often resulting in my undoing); and Jowett; show Keele Park as between Madeley Road, and the junction at Keele, between the Audley branch and the Market Drayton -- Stoke line -- should that be so, it wouldn't be on our route. The Wiki article's map, though, shows Keele Park as east of Keele and west of Silverdale. The Ian Allan Pre-Grouping Atlas and Gazetteer, would appear not to have heard of Keele Park at all !

Dewick is on this occasion correct. Keele Park station is clearly shown on the OS 1:2500 map for 1892. It was at the farm still visible on the OS map called "Stonylow" about 300 yards south of the M6. So between Madeley Road and Keele Junction. The Wikipedia template needs correction.
