Reversal at Butts Lane Halt and use of the chord to the M&SR then the Burscough Curves to the Ormskirk Branch takes us to Cocker Bar

Sorry about that - at the start of the journey I copied the preamble into a Word file (to avoid having to keep jumping pages) and that bit got left out somehow. The 1849 map is unfortunately the oldest available, by which time Maxwell House had been closed so it wasn't possible to work out where the platforms were.

We next move to Wales for the next journey.....

This is number 486 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Bethesda
It follows the line of the Bethesda Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Chester and Holyhead Railway
It then follows the line of the LNWR Conwy Valley Line
It then follows the line of the Bala and Festiniog Railway...ignoring any short-lived former narrow gauge Festiniog and Bala Railway stations
It then follows the line of the GWR Ruabon to Barmouth Line
It then follows the line of the Aberystwyth and Welsh Coast Railway
It then follows the line of the GWR Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line
It then follows the line of the West Wales Line
It then follows the line of the Narberth Road and Maenclochog Railway
It then follows the line of the Rosebush and Fishguard Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Jordanston Halt

The first closed station on this journey is Bethesda
