Yes, in the ORR approvals letters dotted around in this thread the original 4 car setup includes an MS1, and they’re the 4322xx cars, and the 5th cars are referred to as MS2, they are the 4324xx series. Thanks again, just need to link this formation, is this correct?
DMS 43217x -
MS 43227x -
PMS 43237x -

Yes it was 710270 - just a couple of 710/3s left to be delivered to LO now I believe.Presumably 710270. Good to see it breaking cover at last!
Yes 710374 & 710375 left to come. That is assuming 710379 is at Ilford ?.Yes it was 710270 - just a couple of 710/3s left to be delivered to LO now I believe.

No idea, sorry.
379 is currently being commissioned for service from derby - expected to be accepted by end of year and 270 following shortly there after………Yes 379’s at Ilford - apparently being used for spares at the moment.
Take it 379 is being ‘rebuilt’ after being used as a Xmas tree?379 is currently being commissioned for service from derby - expected to be accepted by end of year and 270 following shortly there after………
What is it, and the other 'spare' 710s, actually needed for? The original reason for their purchase, extra 378s on the East London Line, is gone, according to other posts?379 is currently being commissioned for service from derby - expected to be accepted by end of year and 270 following shortly there after………
A whole three months.379 is currently being commissioned for service from derby - expected to be accepted by end of year and 270 following shortly there after………
That makes me wonder why 710270 will not be ready first ?. Or do they want 5car 710/3s more than 4car 710/2s. Puzzling as the Liverpool Street services seem to use (borrow) a few of the 710/2s.Take it 379 is being ‘rebuilt’ after being used as a Xmas tree?
I wonder (hope) if the need on the ELR is delayed, not gone. Mind you they can always do with a few spares (units !) as no doubt the order quantity was pared down to the minimum. I suppose London Overground have an obligation to take what they ordered anyway ?.What is it, and the other 'spare' 710s, actually needed for? Depends which other posts, that’s what I wondered too, and then the reply in post #2688 was the opposite - but without any supporting evidence…What is it, and the other 'spare' 710s, actually needed for? I went past Ilford depot on Wednesday, and there was a 710 poking our of the main shed. It may be one of the outstanding ones reported transferred (by road?) to Ilford, but I couldn't see it all, so no red line! But I'd be interested to know which one it was anyway, if anyone can update me.ThxA whole three months.

I might have to do a fly past to sate my curiosity. Maybe I will be lucky and id it.I went past Ilford depot on Wednesday, and there was a 710 poking our of the main shed. Any idea why the units need turning?710374 has been out today being turned via Beighton and Sheffield
If you don’t evenly cook them both sides you don’t get the required shade of orange on the livery.Any idea why the units need turning?
Oh I see, sun been shining for too long on one side. They left it a bit late to fade in the other side pfftIf you don’t evenly cook them both sides you don’t get the required shade of orange on the livery.
Or does this mean 710374 might be coming South ?.710374 has been out today being turned via Beighton and Sheffield
from my understandingFirst time an Aventra has passed through Sheffield Midland? Unless the 345 movements to/from Worksop were routed this way.710374 has been out today being turned via Beighton and Sheffield
No.Will the 710s replace all of the 378s at LO?
There are a few 378s that were intended to move from DC/NLL use to the ELL, but none are released. The majority of 710s were for West Anglia, the Goblin and Barking extension. Will the 710s replace all of the 378s at LO?
