There's no record of it returning to Willesden and there's another one scheduled for tonight:

When a four car 710 went down to the Southern last October wasn’t it to do some sort of interference testing in an overnight SPZ or something?There's no record of it returning to Willesden and there's another one scheduled for tonight:

Hi I saw 710 337 (maybe...317?) in London Overground colours in the sidings outside Gatwick station...
Any thoughts what its doing?

For anyone interested, 37884 is stabled in front of the 710 at Gatwick Sidings.
I drove past a few minutes ago. It can be seen from the A23 dual carriageway or the adjacent footpath as you walk away from Gatwick South Terminal.

710 259 has entered service; it's with 710 273 on the West Anglia loan... I just saw it at Bethnal Green.
Hasn't that been in service since December 2019? It is 710256, 710270 and 710374/75/78/79 that still await entry to service.

Has it? Wasn't aware of that... I've certainly not come across it before, nor has someone else I know who's been chasing them.
Will double check when I get home.
710259 first reported working on the Watford DC line on 30 December 2019 (and as a consequence I had it for haulage later that evening), and reported a number of times through 2020.

Yes, thanks - I've now checked my friend's list and I think I was thinking of 710 256 earlier. Having said that, I need 259 myself so as it's on the West Anglia loan duty I'll probably have a good chance of getting it tomorrow...

When did 710378 actually enter service? I've seen reports of 710378 being delivered to Willesden, and being used for high speed DC testing between Gatwick Airport and Haywards Heath, but I've not seen anything about it being in service. Many thanks

Surprising how long it's taken to get these in traffic considering it's been 2 years since the first ones of these entered service. I believe the 30 710/1s long since all in service.
Reduced Covid service levels have removed any urgency and the Barking extension is very behind too.

As well as Barking Riverside there were also 6 units in the overall order allocated for ELL additional services, (20 tph in the core section), that I believe are still unconfirmed.
