Class 707 - SWT: Introduction into service

Has anyone told the guards????

No idea mate. I just know a few diagrams have been amended to show they are 707's instead of 458's. One of them in particular I have seen is the 1828 Windsor and return. 2U57/64. The driver was told by a manager, unsure about the guard.

I saw a bulletin in the New Notice Case this morning, so they should be aware. Also mention of a 458/5 diagram on the Reading Line from Tuesday, starting with the 0651 Farnham-Waterloo via Ascot.

I can only speak for Waterloo, but not everyone has had their training.

I wonder if they will now have SWR branding considering they are just sitting at Wimbledon or Clapham Yard.

Saw them at Clapham Junction and it looked like they were still in SWT everything but they may change

Worth bearing in mind too, that no one should ever get rostered to pick up traction they don't sign, usually someone else will pick up the duty with 36 hours notice, and if rosters have dropped the ball then crew should speak to the resource manager at the first opportunity. The last thing they want is for a train to be sat waiting blocking a station while they find any available bodies that can move the thing.

That's a bit improbable isn't it? The more likely reason for asking such a question is to explore whether the service of the new units is dependent on a limited pool of trained staff.

Was it running to the diagram posted? If not, what runs did it do?

Also, was it the 707 that failed?

That's a bit improbable isn't it? The more likely reason for asking such a question is to explore whether the service of the new units is dependent on a limited pool of trained staff.

It does also tie into how many drivers they can take out of service at a time for training.

A little over half way for the guards, traction training resumed this morning after a break during the Waterloo works.

No, a (presumably) 458 on a Weybridge gave up just outside Feltham at about 7:30 this morning.

Weybridge - Virginia Water and Ascot - Aldershot -Guildford were just annoyances to SWT. Will SWR take action to regain customer confidence on these lines? I doubt it.

Well the SWR suit at Waterloo launch yesterday promised all these sorts of issues are going to be ironed out, so we shall see.!

Hopefully, the diagram was running fine earlier, as of when I posted pics. I may jump on the following working (1828 ex WAT), curious to see how the units cope with a peak(ish) load.

I usually get the 1843 from WAT to STW, but I'm thinking of leaving the office a little earlier to get the 1828 to WTN instead. I'm not saying anything at work, but I hope I'm among friends here...

Not really no. At the top of each working it shows you, but all it usually says is "electric multiple unit", that's about all you'll get.
