No because that pair of 450 will take 2R53 which now served by a 701. 450s diagrams will slightly changed but none unit releaseThe part day diagram released 2 450's
Not for the full day scheme starting next week but when the part day scheme came in it did release 2 450'sNo because that pair of 450 will take 2R53 which now served by a 701. 450s diagrams will slightly changed but none unit release
There will no new 701 diagram there will be all-day extention of the existing one with some alteration of 450s so no it wont`t release )))Not for the full day scheme starting next week but when the part day scheme came in it did release 2 450's
Go back and read what I was initially replying to. They were under the impression that a full day diagram would release more units than the part day diagram which is wrong. They both release 2 450's. Not sure what is so hard to understand. There will no new 701 diagram there will be all-day extention of the existing one with some alteration of 450s so no it wont`t release )))
and light alteration of a pair of 458/5 diagram )))

Filming going on unit 701042. My best guess is some sort of corporate driver training film - hopefully not the latest RED edition
From an ASLEF perspective what is stopping the units used for driver training from entering passenger service?
I can't imagine they could care less about the passenger areas.
I noticed a recent campaign for SWR, promoting the trainee driver talent pools soon to come for Weymouth, Waterloo, Fratton and Farnham, shows off a bit of 701s. Must be what they filmed.
I must say the 701s look like very nice trains to drive, at least once out as well as to ride on as a passenger.

The future at London Waterloo! Great to see 701s being used for driver training, and a 458/4 in service yesterday, I couldn't resist a quick pic!

2R53 cancelled today because of a planning error according to RTT, despite turning up at Waterloo.

As far as I am aware (see post 9000 updated) the only units used have been 701028/36/37/39/43I believe of the 3 units(2 which have been in passenger use), 701034 hasn't ran any of the soft launch services and is one of the driver training only ready units. Unsurprisingly it was the first of the 3 delivered followed by 044 and then 036.
701034 - Arrived on the network on the: 29 December 2021
701036 - Arrived on the network on the: 15 August 2023
701044 - Arrived on the network on the: 8 April 2022
Thanks for the correction. I must have confused 043 with it. 044 has mainly been a testing unit and also used for driver training. As far as I am aware (see post 9000 updated) the only units used have been 701028/36/37/39/43
When was 044 used in passenger service?
701037 was originally allocated to the diagram but it had some kind of fault so 701036 will be put on to the diagram insteadNot the best start to the full diagram - 2U09 cancelled "due to a problem with the traction equipment"
Who could’ve seen that one coming? Not the best start to the full diagram - 2U09 cancelled "due to a problem with the traction equipment"
Do you believe everything you read?Who could’ve seen that one coming?
No, but it was canceled.Do you believe everything you read?
The 1815 Hounslow rounder is not booked a 701 this week.More Class 701 diagrams starting from today according to RealTimeTrains (RTT)

5T83 would be the 701031 that I saw at Platform 2. Had a few crew waiting to get on it from what I briefly saw.5T81, 5T84 saw testing on the Shepperton via Richmond line today, 5T82 and 5T83 via Kingston.

Think its the first testing this unit has done(and under its own power) since last movement sightings in 2023 which all seem to have been loco hauls or depot movements.
Ah I see, lovely at least it's stretching its legs.crew will be doing PTI tests most likely
