Are any of the 377's that are going to FCC going to be regularly scheduled to go around the wimbledon loop or to sevenoaks?
Sevenoaks route wont be getting 377s. They will go straight from 319s to 700.
what about the 387s?
They are currently on mileage accumulation between wembley and rugby and do run through Northampton. I can provide times, however, more often than not they are running early!
Am coming up to London with a few hours to spare tomorrow, are there set diagrams that they are working? with times etc. that you could share Alistair?
Many Thanks

Do you wish for the DC paths as well?
Please note that these paths may change or be cancelled as 5O64 is currently at Harrow running 65mins early.
Fantastic - Many Thanks and.....if you've got DC paths that haven't been posted they would be helpful.
377704 and 377705 were out on DC today, between Stewarts Lane and Dover on the usual afternoon diagrams 3Z37 and 3Z38. Not sure where they joined, 377704 was shunting around and left Stewarts Lane on its own at one point this lunch time before the run to Dover.
Unusual sight to see, they've done very little running on DC.
Everything to do with the traction electronics involved in DC operation is also involved in AC operation. Surely as long as the shoe gear and its associated wiring is confirmed OK AC testing is as good as DC testing?
What can really go wrong with a shoe beam and shoe gear?

When are these due to enter use? Is it still planned for next week? Many thanks In advance
Any idea what "shortly" is, weeks or months? Obviously testing takes time, especially when faults are not easy fixes.
Southern won't reveal if they are close to being ready to be added to the service or way off.

I can only presume then that this information is not in the public domain and Class 377/5 (if he knows) is not privvy to imparting this information here.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see as and where they turn up
Would it not be useful to add them to the general pool on some restrictive duties in order to run them in after testing? It doesn't seem productive to have brand new trains sitting idle.
The units are still owned by the builder!Would it not be useful to add them to the general pool on some restrictive duties in order to run them in after testing? It doesn't seem productive to have brand new trains sitting idle.
The units are still owned by the builder!
The leasing company won't accept ownership of the units until they have successfully completed the milage accumulation runs so how are you going to do that?
Well I'm just a layman so I have no idea...

Hope I'm allowed to post this here...
Read in a popular railway mag that the 377/7's are going to start M-F passenger workings from next week.
Is there truth/merit in this? Can this be made public now?
