I’ve spotted 321448 at Booths for some reason - is this for component recovery, or is not being converted after all?

Yep - went to go see 365541 before it got scrapped, and to the right of it was one driving trailer of 448

321.335, 336 and 339 all coupled together as a 12-car at Clacton today. When I arrived, all the pans were down but a shunter came and raised them and all the compressors sprung to life. All the saloon lights were out however. Will these ever run again?

No idea what happened to 340 (which was coupled to 339 opposite P5 at Colchester up to about a week ago

340 was moved to ilford E.M.U.D last week by 321339.

It’s in the class 600 breeze livery, but it could be there for parts

Thanks for the pictures. I saw them on Monday but I couldn’t make out the rear unit

The front end is, but the rest is still its old demonstrator livery just without the decals. That’s what I was thinking given only one of the carriages is there, but who knows?

37884 dragging 321421 and 337, shouldn’t only /4s be going into storage unless 337 is getting converted into a parcels unit

Sorry if I’ve missed something, but how come only /4s are meant to be in storage?
From what I’ve heard /3s are all going to go for scrap or converted into other things like parcel units or parts and spares for the 600 project but only /4s are going to be converted into 600 from what I’ve seen as all /3 drags have been to Newport and all /4 drags have been to Worksop or gas wood

Looks like the non PRM have gone without any fanfare. Last known run was 321406+321308 on 1Y31 0923 Ipswich to Liverpool Street on Tuesday.

It’s a shame that GA have given little recognition when an old, hardworking train goes. Even a small thing like a tweet from ga would do

What about the Renatus units? Would’ve thought they’d be in line for 600 conversion…

A shame. It really annoys me that GA have given little recognition when an old, hardworking train goes.
I’m hoping when the last /R is withdrawn they’ll do a farewell tour (covid permitting) - would be a shame for them to bow out in the same way as the 90s…

It's only the non PRM ones going imminently. Still the Renatus and /9s remain in service. A farewell tour for a group of units that don't have the right bogs/door sounders or whatever would really have a quite limited interest I think.

I doubt it. Nothing historically interesting or important about them unless they were one of the last MK3-derived EMUs to be built by British workshops? Can't remember now. But of course, they've been heavily rebuilt/modified since

So, by my reckoning, the following non-PRM units are still with GA:

331/333/335/336/338/339/340/341/342/343/406/409/423/424/427/430/434/436

Renatus units and /9s are staying into 2022 but I have no idea but I asked a driver and he said they were going to get leased somewhere else, don’t know if that’s true or not but we will see what the future gives us

I agree. I have zero interest in the Renatus units. I'll have another run on the Northern units if the opportunity arises.

However fair play to abeillo Anglia they did keep them to December timetable change. And a week after to.
Unlike northern history off 153 and Pacers.
Well done abeillo Anglia for keeping them.
Yes on Tuesday after working 1y31 the 321406 went ecs to ilford.

The 4 parcels ones are already at wolverton with another for spares for these x4 moves took place around mid October to mid November.
419 429 332 singular move and 321428 321407. From worksop got them at milton Keynes or Watford Junction.
