319373 is currently en route to Castle Donington from Eastleigh behind 37884. Is this for conversion to a 769?

It's been slated as a unit for ROG.I thought 373 was one of the few staying as a 319?
I knew that - but I thought ROG were to have a mix of 319s and 769s?It's been slated as a unit for ROG.
Wasn’t aware that they would be taking on any 319s.I knew that - but I thought ROG were to have a mix of 319s and 769s?
See in previous posts on the threadWasn’t aware that they would be taking on any 319s.
319373 seems to have gone on to Birch Coppice GBRF today so, as mentioned above, it's probably remaining as a 319 (at least for now)319373 is currently en route to Castle Donington from Eastleigh behind 37884. Is this for conversion to a 769?

Monday 29th March now for class 350's on the Abbey all being well. Work being undertaken this weekend to erect stop boards on platforms. (Normal timetable to be provisionally introduced on 28th March)Please let it be soon. Sunday 13 December 2020 would not be too soon.
Those are all Non-PRM units so that would make sense.According to RAIL 924, 319.451,453,455 have been sent by road to Sims Metals Newport
Yes I believe so.Does this make First Capital Connect an extinct livery?
I think it still remains on the 321s which where transferred to Greater Anglia from Great Northern, although the lower vinyl section has been removed.Yes I believe so.
So apart from the plain blue 321s it is technically extinct.I think it still remains on the 321s which where transferred to Greater Anglia from Great Northern, although the lower vinyl section has been removed.

Oh well, another livery consigned to the history books.
Can't find any up to date pictures of it so don't know of it's livery as of 2020/1.Isn’t 03179 still in FCC livery? I believe it to be preserved at Rushden
I guess you could technically count the 377/5 as still having the dark purple, albeit with new blue vinyl over the pink doorsDoes this make First Capital Connect an extinct livery?
Does anyone know the date these were despatched to Newport, and the withdrawal / off-lease dates of each unit. ThxAccording to RAIL 924, 319.451,453,455 have been sent by road to Sims Metals Newport
If somebody stumps up the money, sure. I imagine the 769s will be more desirable in preservation circles, but I don't know how complex DEMU maintenance is.Juat had a thought, could 319008 (769008) be preserved once it finishes service as it was one of the 2 319s that carried the first passengers through the channel tunnel? The other being 009 which is for ROG so that's a definite no on that one.
It'd be a shame to scrap 008 because it is of some importance unlike the other 319s.
Maybe 769s could be more desirable. I've noticed 769008 no longer has it's nameplateIf somebody stumps up the money, sure. I imagine the 769s will be more desirable in preservation circles, but I don't know how complex DEMU maintenance is.
Is this still the case that 319s run on the Abbey until 29th March?Monday 29th March now for class 350's on the Abbey all being well. Work being undertaken this weekend to erect stop boards on platforms. (Normal timetable to be provisionally introduced on 28th March)
All LNW Class 319's are tentatively slated to go off lease in November 2021, current timetable sees 1x8 car set make a couple of trips per day, the rest are stood down, one unit at Camden, eight at Bletchley and four at Kings Heath.
319451 cannot have gone to Sims Newport if its photographed next to 91132 if that got scrapped at Sims Beeston branchAccording to RAIL 924, 319.451,453,455 have been sent by road to Sims Metals Newport
I know it is unlikely, although possible, did all four vehicles of 319451 go to the same scrapyard ? Probably yes if it was hauled to Sims at Newport docks, but if all four vehicles were loaded onto low loaders, there is tiny possbility one went to a different location, for whatever reason.319451 cannot have gone to Sims Newport if its photographed next to 91132 if that got scrapped at Sims Beeston branch
either way, it was disposed by Sims Metals....
If I remember correctly it was converted into a demonstrator unit for hydrogen power and became 799001.Sorry if asked before, what has happened to 319.001?
