FCC seem to manage to keep the carpet clean on a 365, so I am sure it will be okay. Do the 172s have vinyl flooring in the vestibules though, or literally throughout? That might be a bit more of an issue.

Does anyone know if the 0750 High Wycombe - Marylebone, 1809 Marylebone - Bicester North and 1925 Bicester North - Marylebone are still diagrammed for 172s ?

I think they are now working the Gerrards cross - London Marylebone stopper services now or when the new timetable comes into affect

As discussed a few weeks back, it seems they'll have to be used on a variety of different stopping services in the new timetable, because there are only a fairly limited number starting or terminating at Gerrards Cross.

There was definitely an earlier belief that the GX stoppers would run all day, but I think this was in a much earlier version of the timetable. (Had a search online, and the Chiltern 73rd Track Access application included 2 tph running only as far as Gerrards Cross. It's changed a lot since then...)

So back to the main point of this thread, what's at TYS and what's still at Litchurch Lane and in what state of completion guys?
Seen at Tyseley yesterday 31/08 lunchtime was
172211 213
172333 339 343 344

There was at least one other on depot.

Any idea which services the 172 will be running on on Monday 5th?

By a process of deduction, probably on any service between Marylebone and High Wycombe or Gerrards Cross.

I think someone has previously pointed out that there will not be any specific diagrams timed for 172s so they will presumably turn up almost anywhere a 165 can on the south of the route, (but not on the Met). AIUI they are not currently cleared beyond Banbury.

Nothing is timed as a 172, they sit in 165 timings for the moment until they have bedded in enough to know what they are cabable of.

Can it now be considered that the half hourly service between Marylebone and Gerrards Cross (shown in the TAA I mentioned above) is no longer on the agenda?

Or might it reappear in future iterations of the timetable?

It could appear later on, this one needs to sort itself out first. There will be a good few tweaks to this one I expect once it is established what works on paper is a bit iffy operationally.

I meant the London Midland 172s. :p

Anybody have any idea which service(s) the London Midland 172 will be doing on Monday?

So there'll be none on the Dorridge route. What cheek! I think one on each route would've been fair.

I am probably categorically wrong, but I thought that most, if not all, of the Snow Hill line diagrams involved running over both the Dorridge and Stratford lines at some point during their diagram, so I'm interested to see which workings the 172s will be put on to keep them off the Dorridge line initially if that proves to be the case.

From the LM 150 re-allocations thread, there are now reported times for the first two 172 diagrams on Monday:
172's entry service on 5/09/11 with first working to go over 06.46 from Whitlocks End into Birmingham and 06.41 from Birmingham Snow Hill to Sratford upon Avon.

Why on Earth the Stratford line!!!!! Why not the Dorridge line!!!! I am now very angry. So we can't have any 172s for another 2 weeks. What a stupid plan!
