Thanks for the prompt advice.Send them a (public) tweet asking where your response/refund is - usually springs them into action...
Aye - 92 033 to 5C11 ECS out to Edinburgh and is then dropping on to 1M16.92 043 on 1C11/1B26 abd 92 033 working 1M16.
033 on p15 blocks at Euston this morning off the Highlander
Good photo, thanks for sharing.92018 doing the Highlander ECS
Might try and do the same for the northbound process on my next trip.
Its still used as a siding where the sleeper stock stables during the day as platform 1 is used by scotrail services during the day.
Then the sleeper stock is drawn from there into platform 1 or 2 at night.
...and
92 010 on 1M16
92 033 on 1S25
92 018 on 1S26
with 87 002 on Euston ECS and 92 043 on Glasgow ECS in the morning.
67s are also due to swap tonight - 67 007 heading to Mossend and back to DBC when it comes off 1M16 and 67 018 "Keith Heller" will replace it and work 1S25 to Inverness.
What time of year?In an earlier post I mentioned I was going to take my wife on a sleeper to Fort William. Can anybody advise what are the quietest days to travel. Thinking of going up to Fort Bill on a Tuesday and coming back on a Thursday.
Sorry I am planning to travel around about 13/14/15 May.What time of year?
No - it's just the way the 92s are allocated at the moment that this one is covering the 6X41/6L48 car diagram. Meanwhile, "freight" 92s 92043 and 92044 are on the beds. Whilst they do try and keep the CS-liveried ones on the beds in the main, they do sometimes crop up on the cars, and sometimes (very rarely!) on the China Clays. At the current time all GBRf's 92s can work the sleeper, all can work the cars and most of them can work through the tunnel (although not all the 'Sleeper' ones are certified). With a small fleet to manage, sometimes the "freight" ones end up on the Beds and vice-versa.Good evening everyone. Forgive me if I am not totally up to speed with all the in's and out's of the Caley Sleeper routine. However I happened across this image on Flickr this afternoon of 92014 in CS livery doing the cars run. Has she been in for mods and is now trying her legs on the main line? Credit to Timothy Rowley for the image.

92014 was actually the first 92 to have the reliability mods and was the "guinea pig" for these - they were completed late May 2016 and it returned to the Sleeper fairly soon after this (night of Mon 4th July) - it was the only regular 92 on the beds for some time after this (amongst the hired-in Freightliner 90s) until other members of the fleet received the mods and came back onto the beds in early 2017.
014 hasn't had the Dellner and other Mk5 compatibility mods yet, but I doubt they will require the need for much 'testing' on the cars after they have been done.
Total wibble!92010 was dumped in the Klondike at Edinburgh today. A friend who’s local there says it’s dead and has been there for about three weeks. Any ideas?
Total wibble!![]()
Polmadie this weekend is a bit of a freight 92 fest - 92043 and 92044 are there, along with 86101 (ECS).Duly noted. I’ll pass that on.
I haven’t really been following this thread much lately, so I felt there could be a kernel of truth.
Unfortunately ECML carnage put pay to a trip to Glasgow (we’d hoped to get the 12:47 via Shotts but didn’t get into EDB until just before 2...) so no idea what’s in Polmadie. I should have suspected it was wibble as it was the only loco at Edinburgh today.

...bit more info - 92010 has worked every single night (without any noticeable issues if I recall correctly) since 11th Dec, except for the two nights either side of Christmas when it was stopped for a routine exam. I'm confused... there is nothing more exotic than a Class 92 (except maybe one in freight livery...)Indeed, it was the one on my recent sleeper.
And it made up time for an early arrival, despite being considerably late at one point. I thought it must have been something more exotic at the front, but no!
