When Servo took over first they introduced a very fine cotton material for duvet covers and pillowcases. This was changed for a much rougher, and presumably harder wearing, replacement around a year ago. I've only experienced it a couple of times myself, but I understand that it isn't popular. I haven't of skin irritation though, just mild irritation of passengers!
A bit of googling does reveal other people complaining about it.

When I travelled on the sleeper a couple of months back I was ok, however the material was like cardboard. It felt like it had been cleaned with a very strong detergent and no fabric softener.

Most people are actually surprisingly understanding of one-off disruptions. People do understand that things go wrong from time to time. It is often either frustrated commuters and, in my experience, families, who tend to be quite vocal. There is a minority of passengers who always complain loudly for whatever reason at the slightest disruption, but that is a rather small number.

It is how you deal with the aftermath that can leave passengers with an impression on the company.
I think with the Sleeper it also helps that it's always a bit of an adventure(!) and for the majority of passengers they have a bed so at least if it's delayed for hours they can lay down... or stretch their legs, or look out the window, or go for a wander to the Lounge Car... bit different, say, to being sat in some rigid Pendolino seat looking at a big slab of plastic for a few hours.

No, not really.

Still a headache north of the border - 92028 out of action tonight so far as hauling a Class 1 is concerned at least. 92014 was receiving attention in Waverley today for an issue too - not sure if that's sorted; although the issue it had could probably mean it could do the Carstairs if needs be. 90042 and 92018 worked the Highlander and Lowlanders north last night so would be expected to do the reverse tonight; but it's sorting the Carstairs portion that'll be interesting.

Think North of Edinburgh may be a bit more settled (famous last words) - various loco moves last night mean 67020 has now replaced the hapless 67003 on the Inverness, although I believe 66737 is on the front of 1M16 tonight (with 67020 tucked inside for ETH) as a positioning move. Whatever 73/9s still have round wheels will work the other portions.

At the southern end, 92010 is finally in for its exam now (delayed whilst getting tyres-turned at Craigentinny) so as @ScottDarg has reported tatty Skoda 90047 has joined the fray on 1S26 Lowlander, with 92033 switching over to the Highlander.

90047 behaved itself last night, pulling in to Glasgow on time, only running slightly late once or twice on its journey.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at what this mornings ECS loco was?;)

I reckon it was 87002 and therefore claim my prize! ;) :D

Unfortunately, no prizes except for a well done:)

0Z92 ran from Mossend to Polmadie, I can only assume that was 92028 after being there all day.

5C11 is away from Polmadie 5E, 92014 is the likely candidate given it worked 5B26 this morning.

5M11 is nowhere to be seen on diagrams at the moment.

Bit of unusual traction on the Glasgow southbound tonight 90042 leading with 90047 inside along for the ride.

Hang on, did 90047 not come back south last night then?

Nope, 92028 went back last night instead. 90047 got to slack off in Polmadie all day.

2 locos also means that 1M11 will be formed of 15 coaches as opposed to the usual 16, Glasgow portion being 1 coach light.

EDIT: My take on this evenings pair: https://flic.kr/p/ZhW4HW

Anyone know the last time double-headed 90s were in Glasgow on any service, not just the Sleeper?

Both pans are up so it looks like both will be working, rather than simply 047 coming along for the ride.

Is there a reason it couldn't have gone on the back and done ECS duties at Euston, thus allowing a full rake? (e.g. not being able to work in multiple top 'n' tail and DIT for that distance being bad?)

Confirmed it be 92010 on the lowlander (1S26), finally a required Loco on the Cally Sleeper:)

86101 hauled the stock into platform 15.

Edinburgh seats look fully reserved judging by the reservation labels

CS twitter reports the SB Aberdeen packed up around Leuchars and is now just over an hour late.

92014 on the Edinburgh portion from Carstairs, lots of sparks from the pan when it passed the platform due to the slightly damp weather.

Although a few minutes late departing Carstairs, and is currently giving a lovely light show

92014 just round the Hamilton Circle with 0Z92, possibly being turned round due to a cab issue. If so, looking like the candidate for 1M11 tonight.

That begs the question however, if it's got a defective cab, how does it move out of Euston?

Or are they allowed to drag a dead loco on ECS moves?
