Today I spent the day behind 37075 on the KWVR. For one run the train became wedged out with the yellow pen merchants from the Branch Line Society tour that was visiting.

I have to say that some of those Gricers are a funny bunch. In the front coach behind a Syphon thrashing away to some fine order and one chap fell asleep while another was listening to something on his headphones. Well it meant I had no competition for the droplight anyway.

Just goes to show that there are multiple aspects to the hobby. Heck, there are even some people who like Goyles!

90031 on the up Liverpool was running well, arriving at Nuneaton on time. However a mass punch-up took place towards the rear of the train, police and ambulances were called and attended. While this was going on, the up Wolverhampton arrived in the adjacent platform, it was ready to leave first and did so.

This was, in effect, my last day bashing, although it wasn't a conscious decision as such. I carried on recording haulage until 1992 and did one or two line coverage days, but in terms of chasing locos, that was it.

Until summer 2018, but of course there aren't many locos in mainline service now.
