in another news 1437 Move From Wakefield to Castleford
Castleford Depot might be standardize there Fleet of Single decker to Wright Pulsar 2

No that's a temporary loan. Castleford some days are having to cancel boards, so buses can go on school runs, because there is a shortage of buses.

E400MMC 1955, now withdrawn due to accident damage involving a bridge.

1957 currently based at Hecky is returning to Cas to replace 1955.

3 of the e400s arriving from the North West are due to replace 1089-1091 which are due to move to Wakefield.

The other e400 from the North West is arriving to replace either 1894 or 1895, me thinks 1894 as 1895 just had work done to it

Info from a trusted source at Arriva.

Pulsars 1421/1426 and 1436/1437 when they step off service are due to be converted into new starter buses, so they will use these buses to learn routes and other things. Before they get sent out on their own

Found this info from London bus forum, about Arriva orders so far for late this year/early next year, no guarantee this is true so take it as a pinch of salt.

There's certainly new vehicles on order for the provinces again.

Richard Yoxall (Procurement Manager at Arriva UK Bus) has confirmed 14 BYD BD11 for Northumbria (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rich...ing-on-this-activity-7363679276186968065-gqPb), and three of those ex-stock ADL E200 MMC were confirmed in the past week (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rich...e-paintshop-activity-7382493149350223872-WLu4), alongside 23 BYD B12 single-decks for Croydon (TC - https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rich...in-shenzhen-activity-7385289763609587712-ZCii).

In addition, there are 58 ADL vehicles on order for the group - which I'm presuming includes the 44 you note to Arriva-spec and then 14 more (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rich...with-arriva-activity-7369850821032972290--Acu).

There should also be electric single-decks for Darlington in due course (some of the ZEBRA 2 funding for the north-east was shuffled around).

Either way, great to see investment in Arriva in reasonable numbers at last.

Is it known where the three for "ASC" (assuming that stands for Arriva Southern Counties) are heading?

There’s more than that too… large number of orders inbound for 2025/6. I counted NE due 109 vehicles and Yorkshire I understand another 50 alone.

Interestingly it has been suggested elsewhere that the missing 14 from the 58 ordered with ADL are actually E400EVs, which suggests for Tamworth (the only part of the ZEBRA funding not yet confirmed). But I guess we'll need to wait and see.

I wonder and probably right in the fact that the Evora's for Shrewsbury are to make an inroad into the Versa fleet there.

Gemini 2 1519 has been repainted from 'Arriva Max' to Arriva 'Journey Mark.'

Any idea what's behind Ultroliners 1562, 1572, 1574, 1575 and 1576 having their route branding for the 110 removed? Is this in preparation for cascading vehicles elsewhere in the group when franchising starts or a move away from route branding In general?

Additionally, from 23 November, Arriva is making changes to the 163 route in Leeds City Centre:
We’re making some changes to your Service 163 from Sunday 23rd November. To help reduce delays in Leeds City Centre caused by the Kirkgate closure, the 163 will be permanently rerouted via St Peters Street, Eastgate, The Headrow and Park Lane. The new city centre terminus will be City Centre H on Park Row.
Buses will also serve stops at Victoria G, Headrow F, and Headrow A.

In Cross Gates, Station Road will reopen on Tuesday 25th November. Until then, buses will continue to operate on the current diversion route.
Just to confirm — the new Leeds City Centre route will be in operation from Sunday 23rd November.

They are no longer allocated to the service due to complaints. It is rumoured but the complaints seem to be about excessive fan noise.

I can understand why, the fans on Streetdecks are way too loud so if I were living on the route, I'd complain if I was woke by one.

Ah thanks, if bustimes tracking is anything to go by, it looks like they've been replaced by ADL400MMCs on the 110s.

One pressing failure of Arriva at the moment is the woeful lack of buses on a Sunday morning. I remember not so long ago one used to be able to set off at around half seven to be in Leeds,/Wakefield on the 189. Now there's nothing until 9:00.

Great to see new stock coming in here. Just out of curiousity does anyone know why Arriva specify the shorter E400MMC’s? Where as the E200MMC’s are the longer 11.5/8m models?

I know the short length is usual in London but with so many operators going for the longer E400MMC’s these days with extra capacity, it does seem unusual. There can’t be much difference cost wise.
