On the bright side. At least the buses are newer than some of the taxis. They are the ones being kicked out of Liverpool for being too old.

E400 4416 YJ58 FHA is now showing on the bus times fleetlist for Derby which looks like it was previously at Telford. If they are all sent to a scrap dealer there is a chance they still get purchased in tact if they are still runners.
Some of the Vdls must be not far off scrap. I assume that is why some of the Omnicities still remain, perhaps the better of the bunch.
There has been mention of another e400 or two joining the Derby fleet. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Part of me thinks what was the point in the E200's coming up in the first place. Could they have just gone straight to Luton?WF Streetlights 2318 2319 2320 2321 have left Luton swapped in return 3153 3154 3155 3156 E200 MMC
2318 at Hinckley
2319 2320 2321 at Coalville Hugglescote
4416 is tracking as SP-DC, had a ride on it last night & it was quite nice, didn’t rattle to much on London road, 3552 isn’t double tracking currently so it should actually be the Scania.A friend on route 4 in Derby has asked me what bus is tracking as 3552. He reckons it certainly isn't a Scania. He even thought it was an Enviro.
That suggests my friend is going blind, and he knows it.4416 is tracking as SP-DC, had a ride on it last night & it was quite nice, didn’t rattle to much on London road, 3552 isn’t double tracking currently so it should actually be the Scania.
2954/55 are in service at Derby, both tracking as SP-DC with no midlands fleet numbers applied, heard they’ll become 3703/4/5 once repaints have happened.
Yes 2925 is tracking as 2330 on Oakwood, 4416 as SPDC on 30 Sinfin and 2924 as SPDC on Alvaston group 1.4416 is tracking as SP-DC, had a ride on it last night & it was quite nice, didn’t rattle to much on London road, 3552 isn’t double tracking currently so it should actually be the Scania.

Have they chosen to keep the old fleet numbers then?Yes 2925 is tracking as 2330 on Oakwood, 4416 as SPDC on 30 Sinfin and 2924 as SPDC on Alvaston group 1.
I would imagine they will get a 37xx or 38xx number at some point like the rest of the vehicles from Liverpool.Have they chosen to keep the old fleet numbers then?
Yeah, id of thought so. Doesnt surprise me its not been changed yet. 3721 entered service with no FN on the vehicle, then had a temporary one stuck on the sideI would imagine they will get a 37xx or 38xx number at some point like the rest of the vehicles from Liverpool.
The three should become 3703 to 3705. I imagine they may go in for painting soon.I would imagine they will get a 37xx or 38xx number at some point like the rest of the vehicles from Liverpool.
More fun seeing them racing on the circuit.Few Derby vehicles are in Milton Keynes today/tomorrow helping out with F1, 4404/5/6 & 4204 are the ones I’ve seen but quite a few others are in use.
It’s nice to see a Derby operator with enough spares to do things like this & not rely on subsidiaries to run services
Photos attached are the Derby vehicles currently down in Milton Keynes.
Nice to see them helping out. Also helps that most routes are less frequent at weekends.Few Derby vehicles are in Milton Keynes today/tomorrow helping out with F1, 4404/5/6 & 4204 are the ones I’ve seen but quite a few others are in use.

Surprised there was university hopper bus there. Never known the fully branded ones to be used on any other services.Nice to see them helping out. Also helps that most routes are less frequent at weekends.
Quite a lot of buses being shuffled about lately. Hinckley's 15-plate E200s 2000-3 have been transferred to Telford in exchange for four more Wright Streetlite WFs: two from Telford (2315/7) and two from Luton (2314/6). Three of the four former East Midlands Airport shuttle buses (3101/3-4), the shorter 17-plate E200MMCs at Hinckley, have also gone to Telford in exchange for 13-plate Wright Pulsar 2s (3793/6-7).
Variation to registration PF0007085/175 (service 11), effective 26th August 2025. Perhaps the 11/11A and 12 are being merged. There are numerous other service changes registered effective from that date also. There have been local rumours of a new route through Whitwick (Leics), alleged to be run by Arriva. Has anyone seen any confirmation of route/vehicles?
Tremendous, thank you. Rather amusingly, that means the two councillors vociferously opposing the variation are the two that campaigned for it initially.Variation to registration PF0007085/175 (service 11), effective 26th August 2025. x38 being a route change. Ditching Derby bus station to go back to Victoria street?Bus times suggests changes on some Derby routes from 30th August. Routes 4, 5/5a, 6, 7, 20/26 and x38 are listed as having either timetable, or route variations or both.
I would have thought the X38 did reasonably well from/to the bus station.x38 being a route change. Ditching Derby bus station to go back to Victoria street?
