It's an attitude thing. If you're slipshod about advertising your products with a lazy "this'll do" approach then chances are you'll have a similar slipshod attitude when making the products you intend to sell.

There's a sandwich shop near my workplace that advertises "panini's" in the shop window. Maybe I'm a pedant but if a sandwich shop has such a lax approach to basic grammar then chances are the quality of the products they sell must similarly be poor, so I've never used them!

Here's a better idea, make announcements "opt in" rather than "opt out". Seeing as nearly everyone has a smartphone these days, there should be a free GPS app that people who want to hear announcements can download so they can listen to them on headphones while the rest of us enjoy blissful silence!
