Well we've had several "mass gatherings" over the past few months; VE Day, protest marches, the Dorset beach frenzy, pubs reopening en masse and not one of these events has led to a spike or increase in infections.

A person's medical history is private and is not something a member of rail staff has any right to know. If a guard challenges a person not wearing a mask, all they have to say is "I have a medical condition" and the guard should accept that and not press them for further details.

Well I'm blaming the public! Not all of them obviously but those who, even now, are posting in Facebook and Twitter that they're not leaving their home until there's a vaccine and anyone who does without good reason is being irresponsible and spreading the deadly killer virus.

I think what you mean is that the www.gov.uk webpage is out of date. Currently there is no advice to stay at home as much as possible. Just because the page hasn't been updated doesn't mean it's the law!

On the Furness coast Askam to Dalton in Furness; 3 miles by road but 12 miles and 25 minutes by rail.

Are you restricting it to stations that have a direct service between them? If not, an extreme example is that if you were wanting to travel from Barton on Humber to Hessle, it would be quicker to cycle over the Humber Bridge than take a train journey changing at Habrough, Doncaster & Hull!
