Its actually for tube trains showing every tube train (yellow dots) moving with direction arrows unless stopped, BUT it also shows Trams and if you click on a yellow dot on the Croydon network, the first 4 digits of the Tram ID are the tram number.

I'm sure any future depends on scrap buying customers returning, not scrap sellers. China was the big buyer but has scaled right back for more local higher, quality scrap.
Managed to ride 17 new (to me) ones today, and I'd say about half the Guard announcements are by Norman Collier (youtube him if you're under 50). Clearly something not wired up quite right on too many units.
