https://traintimes.org.uk/map/tube/ Its actually for tube trains showing every tube train (yellow dots) moving with direction arrows unless stopped, BUT it also shows Trams and if you click on a yellow dot on the Croydon network, the first 4 digits of the Tram ID are the tram number.

TfW class 398 Stadler Citylink tram trains

What everyone needs to remember, is that battery development is running exponentially as present, and just as 2022 was a very long time ago battery wise, 3-5 years from now, fully working solid state battery weighing half as much for the same capacity will likely be available. Given the...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

As its been half a lifetime since the 701's were ordered....what was the original plan for the 10-car and 5-car 701s to work ? There are an awful lot of both still to enter service, whilst nearly all the 455/456's have gone, so what is next to be replaced ?

What is more embarrassing, is that 701002 dates from 2019 and still to carry a passenger after nearly 7 years.

Unimetals (Owners of Sims Recycling) goes bust

I'm sure any future depends on scrap buying customers returning, not scrap sellers. China was the big buyer but has scaled right back for more local higher, quality scrap.

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Managed to ride 17 new (to me) ones today, and I'd say about half the Guard announcements are by Norman Collier (youtube him if you're under 50). Clearly something not wired up quite right on too many units.
