Don't hold your breath.... In 2007 I had a similar problem, my office's flooded with 3 feet of water from the nearby canal because someone forgot to open a sluice gate to relieve water pressure or some such reason. Insurers were still pursuing the waterways when I sold the offices in 2021....

The Unions kept saying they were unsafe, and had horrible cramped cabs that needed totally rebuilding and bulkheads moving. So did the pay rise resolve it, or have the cabs been rebuilt ?

I imagine 10x 23m coaches is much cheaper over lifetime than 12x 20m coaches, in terms of wheelsets, brakes, shoes etc.

I agree with the original poster - Yesterday was a clusterfk day with many cancelled trains Eus-Bham due to overhead line issues near Coventry, and many delayed trains due to signal issues near Crewe. Both are down to NR ?
