Network Rail Class 950 to be disposed

The reports up thread saying it's full of corrosion would tend to weigh against preservation wouldn't they?

    Mk1 Carriages Before Blue/Grey Era

You are correct; no SUB ever carried blue and grey. ( I became actively interested at the time of the end of the SUBs )

    Global Airlines launch flights announced

Page JUL 1228 of the July 2026 Air Britain News contains the simple small paragraph: I didn't bother reporting that or asking for this thread to be reopened at the time because it did strike me as a tad optimistic...

    General Knowledge Quiz

You have it; I have to give it to you and not @Acathater - sorry - because his surname was Caldwell-Moore, not Caldwell, although he rarely used anything other than the "Moore" part... Please discover for us another question.

AI-generated (not entirely realistic) railway images

If it's a fresh post I'll see it. If it's been edited in or auto merged, I won't because I look through the thread menus for threads which have new posts, i.e. which appear bold in the menu. I don't want to set notifications on anything - that gets too distracting and swamping.

GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

I was out on Tuesday and I saw 99 005 at Wembley while I was on board 350 372 + 350 111 from Milton Keynes to Euston; we passed Wembley at 14.10 so if 4M01 was at Wembley at 14.10 that day, I can confirm that one.

Mobile phones and safety on the railway and other transport

I will admit to having watched a pavement collision take place between two mobile phone zombies who were walking towards each other recently. While I could have shouted a warning to them both, I decided not to as they both obviously needed to learn a lesson the hard way about watching where...
