I wouldn't go quite that far, but remember none of the TOCs have significant in-house technical resource that e.g. work actively on a ticket issuing system.
They'll have an understanding of the systems from a fares management perspective. They're not going to be the ones advocating loudly for...
Which really shouldn't be necessary, RDG's side should be able to re-evaluate services on demand (even after it's processed them once already), but here we are. This is not the only problem with the timetable process.
I would not say this, for the reasons @MrJeeves outlines. The services exist...
"Allows" is a strong word given what happens if you tap on the "1h 21m, 2 changes" link on an itinerary on National Rail Enquiries to try and view what it's proposing.....

To be fair, I've seen no indications that WMT want anything other than this to get sorted out as soon as...
I'm sure improvements could be made to the underlying journey planner for customers in this position, but it's a fairly small niche and I can't see Raileasy being particularly interested in commissioning anything here (at least whilst Raileasy isn't retailing seasons itself).
Very much a rant, but: How on earth can it take nearly 48 days to assess a Delay Repay claim?
Why does the industry persist in preventing retailers (or a central service) from paying out claims efficiently, and making passengers jump through these stupid hoops after they've been inconvenienced...
Indeed, it's completely absent from the Rail Delivery Group timetable. I think National Rail will do same-day enquiries (because of Darwin) but not much more beyond that. It's a shame.
Raileasy's workaround is very much a stop-gap, and my hope is it'll be distributed properly by the industry...
No.
There are many things that get complained about ad nauseam on this forum (as another example, E-Tickets, Digital Railcards). It doesn't suddenly make the vocal minority here representative of the wider public.
Hilariously, I didn't think the fancy new gates they had purchased and installed at HWY actually supported contactless (yet).
I think there's a separate validator you're supposed to use.
I have. I disagree with Watershed (the term is used in this way by more retailers that matter than not - it's not simply a Trainline thing) and the forum poll is not representative of the wider public.
As long as the options are sufficiently broken down after search is issued, I don't see the...
It's not just a rail thing either, there appears to be a collective shift away from personal responsibility in society in this country. It seems we must expend great resources protecting adults from themselves. See also: replacing almost all soft drinks with dreadful sweetener-filled versions...
Ha, yeah, that reminds me - for reasons I never really understood my very first GP surgery kept my title as Master well past my 18th birthday as well (I think I went for an appt in the uni holidays once).
If you are buying an open return ticket you are opting out of using a journey planner for the return half of the journey. You are asserting "I don't need the assistance of a journey planner to plan a return trip for me". In the same way that by using BR Fares to purchase just a ticket, you are...
I've had this discussion multiple times with RDG when it's been raised as a problem that Raileasy don't ask for title!
With the exception of one particularly insufferable customer (who also objected to "Hi" and other informalities like "Kind regards" and "Whoops" in a user-friendly error...
