Delay Repay. Split tickets and operators

I'm confused. I traveled from Haywards Heath to Exmouth yesterday and was delayed approx 33 minutes.
The delay started at Haywards Heath where the train from Brighton was delayed by 15 minutes.
14.01 to 14.17
The increased so that I arrived at Farringdon at 17.13
The Elizabeth line was also delayed also so i missed my 17.36 GWR from Paddington to Exeter. Caught the 18.06 instead and eventually arrived Exmouth at 21.21 some 33 mins late.

So do I claim my 33 mins from Thameslink. Is this complicated by having multiple split tickets?
Thameslink also want me to claim for each leg. What does a leg mean in this context?

Thanks!

Fill in the Delay Repay form by specifying that you travelled from Haywards Heath to Exmouth, and give them the details of your planned itinerary. Attach details of all of the tickets you used. I'm not sure what you mean by claiming for each leg - you should just specify the overall journey you made.

With the Thameslink Delay Repay screen it asks you to input your first leg. It then gives you the option to add another leg or 'next'. You have to keep adding another leg until your complete journey has been input, and then click 'next'

Thank you all for your comments.
On the 'leg' question. I assume that the leg is the physical train charge, and not a virtual change (as in a split ticket)?

So even though I had 3 split tickets from Haywards Heath to Newbury, I do not claim that as three legs?
I actually claim it a two legs since I changed at Paddington... Yes?

On the Thameslink claim form, you need to enter your *intended* journey times and change points. When doing this, don't worry about what *actually* happened on the day.

For example (use your *intended* departure and arrival times as stated on your tickets / booking):

1500 Haywards Heath to Farringdon 1615

1630 Farringdon to Paddington 1645

1736 Paddington to Exeter 1915

1930 Exeter to Exmouth 2005

Each of the above is a "leg", i.e each train. A "leg" is not necessarily between the stations printed on your split tickets.

Once you have done the above, simply click the box which matches the length of your delay, 30-59 minutes in your case.

Upload a single image or scan showing all your tickets, and Thameslink will work the rest out - i.e which trains you "actually" caught and the amount of compensation you are due.
