    have a look at C L finescale website . they do 3rd rail and 4th rail underground track. plus the kickboards that you need in stations. i have used them in the past they give a good service. email them and you get a reply . peco insulators are plastic

    yes it's where the sleeper joins the rail. you just need to remove them on the first sleeper cut the top off with a knife.

    i use a dremel to cut my peco flexi track. you can cut where you like. but when you need to fit a connecter to the rail you need to remove the lug on the sleeper first so it will fit.

    there's is a old station platform just before bishopstone on the left hand side by the old tide mills. when you walk from bishopstone to newhaven along the beach you can see the old lines and sleepers. i walk my dog over there sometimes .
