    Day-Flex Single tickets

Oh come on, that's an understatement!

Delay Repay - which TOC to claim from?

I know someone recently who had delay repay refused by GTR multiple times, including by customer services, and submitted a Money Claims Online (MCOL) claim against them which was paid out.

    Day-Flex Single tickets

There is a new ticket type appearing for a select number of flows on BRFares called a "Day-Flex Single", at 10 different price tiers (ticket types FE0-FE9). https://www.brfares.com/!faredetail?orig=LIV&dest=MAN&grpo=0435&grpd=0438&tkt=FE7 I haven't seen any publicity about these yet.

Does anyone know why Julie Berry's announcements are being phased out?

Just scroll through her Twitter feed: https://x.com/voiceoverdiva She had a tidy-up recently, but I have some old screenshots too, including ones which were more anti-immigrant than what you can find today on her timeline: But I think that's probably enough to demonstrate my point.

Does anyone know why Julie Berry's announcements are being phased out?

mods note - split from here https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/thameslink-to-replace-cushions-on-class-700-ironing-board-seats-to-improve-comfort-finally.306393/ I'd like to think it's a moral choice related to her far-right, anti-immigrant, anti-vaccine, COVID denial views, but we'll...

Thameslink to replace cushions on class 700 ironing board seats to improve comfort.. Finally..

Nonsense. There are no "announcements" of any kind. There are scrolling messages for about 5 seconds every couple of minutes between stops. I'm not saying that 1st/declassified/standard is unclear, though.

    Ffestiniog Round Robin advice, please!

The issue is that the fares data doesn't support a concept for this. I've told RDG a solution which can be used to fix this, but noone wishes to implement changes to data schemas! What you need is some data which links a list of stations to ticket route codes to say "if you go through this...

Current Southern advice regarding alternative routes.

It doesn't say it doesn't, so I don't see any reason this wouldn't be allowed. Just like I see no reason the same policy wouldn't apply to other cancellations under the DfTO ticket acceptance policy.

My son has just received a fine to be paid in full of £3115 in 14 days.

You're starting to sound like the Student Loans Company. No, it wouldn't by my understanding. Similarly, it also wouldn't if they've read email notifications about replies to the thread. Hopefully the OP will query the amount with GWR and come back to us with an update. Until then, I...

Severn Valley Railway to trial commuter services

The services are in the timetable, but the RDG system (DTD) which distributes the timetable to retailers is excluding the trains (like it excludes freight services, or engineering trains) because someone hasn't configured it properly. Because of the poor design of the system, I would guess the...

Southeastern staff claimed Anytime ticket tied to specific train

I will say the Southeastern app is showing the ticket in the incorrect format (D10), which is intended for use with Advance tickets. Absolutely no excuse for the staff to be completely incompetent, though. RSPS3030...

    Penalty Fare Procedural Error

They handle some of the logistics for GTR penalty fares, as historically they were both Go-Ahead (and now they're both GBR!).

Would Delay Relay cover the overall journey if PlusBus was added?

Well no, the PlusBus ticket is an add-on ticket you purchase alongside your rail journey. If you bought tickets like "Brighton+Bus to London Terminals", I'd agree with you.

    Selby-York

There is, and a good starting hint might be looking to see which TOCs are common across all the itineraries which return through fares.

    British Airways

But it also goes both ways, where Golds don't see seats which some Silvers or Bronzes do!

    Interrail vs ALR

Interrail is entirely valid on Gatwick Express services. It's only Heathrow Express where it isn't valid. It's about 50-50. Train operators (and staff) which use TTK (The Ticket Keeper) will be able to scan the passes, but no other validation software in use can.

    RIP old National Rail app

The TrainSplit Android app offers this too, provided you enable the option in Settings for more detailed train running information.

    Nonsense! :p

Northern online delay repay - auto rejecting multiple passengers.

It does, as does adding (or removing) dots wherever you'd like in the email address. my.email@gmail.com and myemail@gmail.com and m.y.e.m.a.i.l@gmail.com will all go to the same inbox.

What happens if barrier retains ticket later needed for delay repay?

But, again, I've submitted claims to WMT where tickets have not been defaced without issue.
