Just a brief comment on the 56k wages. Of the employees in that band 40% are on 36k and less. 56k is the max wage of a driver however many would be below this.
Wages do need to drop but the Government are really screwing up to 60 million from IE per year in a free travel scheme. If it was...
Just to point a few things out, no stations will be closed. The Limerick regional lines to Waterford and BallyB are the biggest risk but the reality is no stations will close unless those lines do.

All 8500's are AC motors while 8100 are DC motors.
PC is a joke, IE have some cheek charging fares for it, cheap plastic seat covers and a small reading lamp. PC class is only well used on Tralee line for the means on the direct service, most other routes have next to nobody in them at all.
It should be scrapped as having 1 carriage off...
I know one or two of the sets allowed up North were given the full logo from the start, if they are converting sets 1 to 4 into 4's then they should finish it. Surly it would make more sense not to convert the sets that can go across the border? Not that they will anytime soon.
7.10 is scheduled for a 6 piece set except Mondays when its a 3 piece. It could be any set these days but nest week it will be a 4 or 6 car set. Usually arrives on time but timetable on route isn't perfect.
Quiet a few of the 22's in current size operate this as the last service to turn...
