No. These tickets are normally returned at the Kings Cross Gateline.
No the ticket won't work they gateline at Kings Cross St Pancras but staff shuld let you through manually of you explain that you're going to Old Street.
The inter-availability is that tickets with validity between Finsbury...
Seat back tables is a must and shoul've been installed from new. Rumour at the time was the tables would somehow slow down station dwell times.
The seat trim is starting to look worn and the cushion padding is starting to collapse so I'm not surprised that there are plans for a refresh.
There...
Just to remind everyone that someone travelling with a ticket that is correctly dated but restricted for use at a range of times other than the service on which you are travelling (eg using an Off Peak ticket at a time when off peak travel is not allowed) you will be charged the difference...
They're a tech company that sells train tickets. Whichever way you look at it they've been very successful.
I wouldn't be too worried about the share price - share prices tend to ebb and flow. Clearly there will be some changes to rail ticket retailing with GBR coming but I expect them to...
Like them or loathe them Trainline has been very successful. Many people believe they are the only webite or app where you can buy train tickets.
They do have a very user friendly interface, liked by many people.
I think I'm correct in saying that to take advantage of this in GTR-land the season must be issued on paper rather than on The Key, otherwise you can end up being charged additional PAYG fares. Perhaos someone can confirm.
I think the issue was that it was a CCST season (which was totally legit when purchased - no workarounds) but when it needed replacing it was smartcard fulfilment only, but the system wouldn't play ball. Several staff had a look and phone calls were made and eventually some sort of workaround...
I seem to remember a thread from a couple of years ago about whether it was a requirement to carry the smartcard with the actual ticket as well as the Gold Record Card.
I was using a LNER smartcard which didn't have my name on it, hence the need to carry a photocard.
There's a story as to why...
I'd be very wary of keeping all of passport, wallet and phone in pockets. Pockets do get picked - mine was picked on the Paris etro three years ago. I lost my wallet and rail ticket wallet (always kept in the same pocket as my wallet). Thankfully my phone and passport were elsewhere so I...
Getting back to Gold Cards.....
Having held a Hatton to Lapworth Gold Card for around 10 years my view is that it better issued as CCST issued at a station. That way you can check you're getting what you want and go elsewhere if there's a problem. If it season ticket is issued on a smartcard...
Back in the day, when mug shots of people who were 'barred' were pinned up in the back areas of stores, and often circulated to neighbouring stores - how many people were incorrectly asked to leave a store.
I'd say it was rather higher than the errors that are seen with facial recognition...
Sadly, this isn’t the first time there’s been issues with Gold Record Cards.

Starting/finishing short with an Advance ticket is not strictly in accordance with the rules for Advance tickets, the policy of the Rail industry is that no additional fare should be charged (unless there is clear evidence of intent to try and avoid a higher fare).
The problem here is that...
No you can’t, if you’re using a Gold Card discounted ticket you must have your Gold Card with you when you travel.
Based on what you’ve said it sounds as though your initial chase email had insufficient details for LNER to respond. It might be best to phone them.
Set the incomplete journey charge too low and it could encourage fare evasion.
Set it too low and someone who genuinly forgets to touch in for a one-stop journey on the DLR (where it is very easy to forget to touch in) is penalised disproportionately.
Politicians (and people in general) want...
