New 'Wild west' signage at Norwood Junction

Glad to see the money being put into the station, but not sure the new signage at Norwood junction really works; looks more wild west to me!

Sleeper to Pitlochry - what to do so early?

I've booked the sleeper to Pitlochry next month for an afternoon thing. But realised we'll get thrown out about 06.20, at least a couple of hours before usual places open. Any suggestions of places with early openings or similar?

    Caledonian sleeper question

Just looking at the scottish sleepers and the price I'm getting shows the posher club room to be cheaper than the classic room; is this just a quirky of the dynamic pricing or am I missing something?

Hotel curve tunnels in Mission Impossible film?

Just seen *Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning* and there are the usual trope of tunnels being used for skullduggery. Am I right in saying they have used the 'Hotel Curve' tunnels to the east of kings cross?

Never the same staff member in Holland & Barrett?

Possibly just my false perception but I have never seen the same person working in H&B on subsequent visits; do they have a high turnover of staff?

    Hong Kong MTR

In HK for a fortnight and finding the metro pretty good. What does suprise is the frequency which is low by London standards (5/6 minutes) though this could be just the Tung Chung line which I've been using mainly and I've tried to avoid rush hour. Also a couple of newish lines terminate at...

    St Pancras M&S refurbishment again

Probably a sign of my age rather than fact but wasn't the bigger of the two M&S's refurbished about two years ago? Hoardings are up and sounds like another back to the concrete, bottom up refurb.

    Highland sleeper train; best destination?

Thinking of having a birthday treat on the Caledonian sleeper. That will obviously be the highlight for me but which of the non-central destinations would be good for Ms BrB? I'm thinking Inverness for the scenery but I've never been to Dundee or Aberdeen

Bluetooth interference at Network Rail stations

My Bluetooth headphones cut out intermittently as I walk through the concourse of Victoria, London Bridge and possibly a few more. Is there some NR system that throws up interference?

    Tulse Hill stop boards

Not sure if stop board is the correct terminology (the point where a train should stop depending on its length) but after the recent blockade to resignal tulse hill the board has been moved further north on platform 3 but the platform 2 board hasn't moved further south so thameslink trains still...

    Tuesday to thursday timetables?

Anecdotally Mondays and Fridays seem to be the lowest for commuting; would there be value in having a significantly more frequent timetable Tuesday to Thursday to ensure there isn't over capacity that a general increase mon/fri might produce?

Trivia/Nonsense - what 'inside knowledge' do you use to 'beat the crowds?'

'Inside Knowledge' may sound too grand but I enjoy anything that 'beats the crowds'; current favourite is using the footbridge at King's Cross to get to my trains before the mass of muggles using the ground level route.

    Communication cord / Emergency stop

I was on a GWR 800 (possibly 802) the other day and the 'emergency handle' was labeled something like 'communicate with the driver in an emergency' nothing about it being an emergency stop. Has the whole 'pull the cord' procedure changed on modern classes or just the labelling?

Is there anywhere around kings cross to take a call that's relatively quiet? Don't mind paying a modest amount

    London Victoria Gateline

It's taking time to rip out the sandwich shops and put in extra gates. Cant remember ever seeing work actually being carried out; Is there some regulation that work can only occur after hours?

    Thameslink: final state?

Is the current Thameslink service in its final state? Are there tweaks to timetabling/diagrams/rosters that are planned or are needed? Is ATO in the central section 100% operational on all services? I'm a regular passenger through the Central core and subjectively it feels the service is...
