So got train at Piccadilly tonight. Had ticket for inbound journey not for onward so tried to buy on app .bad 4g and Conductor came round as purchase finished..explained what I was doing amd he said you can't do that as onboard (wasn't short faring or anything) Scanned ticket and it came up...
