2232 Piccadilly to Shrewsbury tonight

Arrived to travel on this.. bus replacement.. the inbound stock arrives on time so asked Driver why not in service ..he said he'd been told to take it back empty ( with Guard!)

I know sometimes crew off inbound from Chester work this but that was on time so be interested to know reason for bustitution!!

Someone will know. Presume if a RRB is running (three and a half hours to Shrewsbury!) it was pre-planned.

Whatever the reason, you'll no doubt to be gratified to hear that "...Very rarely train services run late or cancelled which is down to Transport for Wales..."

It’s in for a bus replacement Monday and Wednesday this week. Not sure why to be honest.
