I was on the 1716 so it was impossible to rush over to the 1719 train. I had an advanced Standard Premium single ticket which is valid on Avanti only.
The 1719 was a NorthWestern which I don't think my ticket would be valid for. The next Avanti was the 1743 departing at 1747 but I wanted to...
Once people have been stamped in through the French border and are in the Eurostar waiting area, if there's an evacuation, does everyone need to be stamped back into the UK before they are evacuated? Surely if there is a real fire, people aren't going to be having to queue.
I already have an annual Z1-5 travelcard. I assume if I tap in at Paddington, get the Liz line and tap out at Heathrow, it'll only charge me the difference? So the last station in Z5 is Hayes & harlington, and a discounted off-peak single is £4.80. Is that what I'll be charged?
I will be need to do this journey during a weekday, leaving Euston is the morning and returning in the afternoon. Both services are about the same travel time, but I can book a seat on Avanti.
Are the trains usally crowded as I'm doing the opposite way to most commuters? Would I likely get a...
Looking to get an annual Zones 1-5 travelcard for £2,920. Starting 6th Janurary and will stop using it 19th December (even though it eactually expires 05/01/2026). Then renewing it starting 6th January 2026. Will be using it 4 days per week. And I will be on holiday for 15 days so won't use it...
I have a network railcard and want to get 1/3 off an off-peak day travelcard in London. I should be paying £10.60 but on the Southern website it's charging me the full £15.90 (even with my railcard selected).
I wish to get this as it's wierdly cheaper then the Zone 1-5 Oyster off-peak day cap...
I have about £20 on my Oyster and will be buying an annual travelcard. Obviously I want to use up my balance before I do, but according to my calucations, there's no way to go down to £0, as I'll always have a few quid left. What can I do?
Looking for cycle to either Upper Warlingham, Riddlesdown or Sanderstead station on an electric bike. Which is the safest one to park up and will have available spaces (around 0830 every morning)?
My travel per day for 5 days a week will be:
Outbound:
bus
East Croydon - Clapham - Vauxhall
Return:
bus
Victoria - East Croydon
bus (free as Hopper fare)
Assuming there's 251 working days / year. I'm ruling out the Annual Bus & Tram Pass as that's £988.
Option 1:
London Travelcard Zones...
Looking to get a Paddington - Great Malvern return using https://tickets-beta.railforums.co.uk, outward tomorrow morning and return Sunday morning. A standard class ticket plus weekend upgrade is £40 less then a 1st class ticket.
Looking at the seat selection map, it doesn't look busy so I...
I submitted a delay repay claim for 10/8/24 from Victoria to East Croydon. The train was the East Grinstead 17:20 which was delayed on arrival by 60 mins.
However my claim was only approved for a 15-29 mins delay. How do I contact them?
This is the 1st time I've ever seen this happen, when there's a better service on a Sunday than Saturday! Haslemere - Clapham direct is hourly today, but doubles tomorrow. I can't see any engineering work that would affect the timetable today. Is there any particualr reason why SWR cannot run...
On my way back home yesterday, the bus stop I need to get off at was closed. There was no announcement on the bus that the bus stop was closed. So I had to get off at the next stop and take a bus back. What are my chances if I submit a complaint to get my £1.75 refunded?
I will need to commute from Croydon to Stratford in the future. Ignoring cost and duration, what's the most comfortable way? I've written how likely it is to get a seat based on my experience, but hopefully forum members might be able to give their advice.
Outbound Option 1
West Croydon -...
Looking to go from Orpington to Tonbridge, and return Sevenoaks to Orpington. Can I just get a Orpington to Tonbridge return (£7.25), or do I need 2 singles?
Is there a reason why SWR long-distance trains you cant reserve a seat? Travelling from London to Weymouth is 3 hours which seems silly not being able to reserve a seat when London - Birmingham is half the time!
