With Bolton Wanderers & Stockport County in the play offs at Wembley on tomorrow it looks as if those fans travelling by rail have little option. The only two services that comfortably get them there in time for kick off are the 08:05 Manchester-Euston via Crewe or the 08:20 via Stoke. There are...

I’ve always thought it better to allow the Blackpool’s to directly follow the Glasgow doing the honours en-route allowing the Scottish Express to do just that non-stop south...
Could somebody explain all this fuss over Zoe Ball having a few weeks off from her R2 breakfast show? Some of the media outlets seem to be obsessed with it.
What business is it of anybody but her as to why she's had an extended break?
Just to let you know that a ‘priv’ rate of £1.20 single has now been agreed for use to/from Luton airport. Previously rail staff had to pay the full fare even though the previous bus shuttle was free.
Good timing as I’m flying in on the 11th ;-)

If only Sadiq Khan had control of the entire UK network. There would be no industrial disputes and bad feeling.

During the RHTT season all red signals have an instruction to travel at no more than 10mph at the warning magnet as opposed to 20mph at other normal times of the year. This instruction...
Looks like further disruption & uncertainty from the end of the month on the East Coast Main Line.

Some absolute bargains to be had across the East of England on Greater Anglia services for travel between 12th October & 2nd December. Most routes (Stansted Express excepted) are permitted & the promotion appears on any enquiry as the ‘cheapest’ fare.

Megabus discontinue their London-Norwich route.
Looks like yesterday was the last day of operation…

Yes it certainly is. Doubt passenger numbers will really take off until an hourly service is provided. Will just have to tick along until then.
I note that from the 1st of July rail staff travel will be accepted on Grand Central routes for the first time. Although good news for us it will be even better news for GC staff who should obtain priv on all other TOCs too.
Apologies if already been posted but tried to look.
please help someone. I'm not used to buying tickets working for the railway & was only doing a favour for a family member. Seems I've done it as an M ticket with Virgin Trains. Rang the help desk & she said to get him to download the VT app, give him my email & password then he can download it...
1N29 18:18 Kings Cross-Newcastle (formerly 18:19) has long been a problematic train on the East Coast Main Line particularly on a Friday. It seems to get more complaints on Twitter than any other departure. Overcrowding became so severe last night that it suffered a 21 late start finally...
4L02 Hams Hall-Felixstowe sadly appears to have struck a vehicle at Thorpe Lane AHB which is close to Trimley. All passenger services are suspended until at least 16:00. No further details just yet.
Its now nearly two years since Virgin Trains re-introduced direct services using Voyagers to/from Blackpool & Shrewsbury. The latter seems to have performed better loadings wise thanks to its more convenient timings & twice daily (except Sunday) serving to Shropshire.
I note this afternoon...
Anybody have any idea as to the new infrastructure being added at Potters Ely? A set of points has gone in behind the aggregate unloading area & then goes off sharply left in what appears to be a long loop siding around the main building. Apart from a new freight flow that requires access along...
Anybody know the reason the sidings here have recently been relaid with three sidings alongside each other? They are now together between the old Royal Mail canopy & the main line.
Ive not seen any aggregates traffic in there for well over a year & can only think its something to do with...
