Has been closed all week since some planned work over the holiday. Southern are being very coy as to the reason why... UPDATE. It was reopened after 3 (extra) days.

Behind The Scenes on Southern's Twitter (Newspaper Article)

Should have redacted the twitter users' identities and not just the body of the threatening messages in my opinion... https://inews.co.uk/essentials/news/uk/video-death-threats-abuse-really-like-work-behind-southern-rails-twitter/

    Special Timetable Waterloo 5th - 28th August 2017

Not sure I have seen a thread discussing the timetable changes that will be in place on South West Trains for most of August this year. https://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/plan-your-journey/planned-improvements/wswupgrade/ Still very short of detail. Choose your station and it will show one...

    Crawley Bridge Strike 11/2/16

Southern tweet: However the bridge over Southgate Ave has no height warnings according to Google Earth, as has the bridge at Three Bridges itself, which makes a bridge strike less likely.. Other possibilities are that something has struck the parapet at the Hawth (Rail under Road bridge), or...

Trivia: 3 or more consecutive stations with shared parts of the name.

for example: Raynes Park, Motspur Park, Worcester Park (that one is served by a service) It would also be possible to run a train to: Streatham Hill, Tulse Hill, Herne Hill.. ..but nothing timetabled does that currently. Are there any other 3 station runs? Any fours? Any...

    London Bridge blockade in August

The document here: http://www.southernrailway.com/download/31476.9/thameslink-southern-services/ Contains the somewhat ominous line: I'm guessing the 5 fast services that leave East Croydon for London Bridge between 8:25 and 8:33 each weekday will need to be thinned out? Anybody know what...

    Billingshurst LC problems?

Rumour has it that the barriers have been suffering from uncommanded state changes, hence no fast trains down the Arun Valley today. In other words the barriers have been going up and down without being instructed to do so.

Is a season ticket from Christs Hospital to St Pancras valid via Vauxhall?

My problem. 50% of the time I work in Vauxhall. The other 50% I work near Kings Cross. I have been using a zone 2-6 travellers, then oyster to KxstP from Vauxhall as a zone 1-6 from Christs Hospital is £30 per week more than a zone 2-6 ticket! Not exactly the bargain of the century. I...

Busiest Semaphore home signal(s) left on national rail.

Unless it has been switched to a colour light signal, then Pulborough gets 4 trains per hour, in each off peak hour. Which other semaphore signals have more state changes per day?

    Littlehaven platform extensions.

Surprisingly not being built from the standard parts being used for the 10 car extensions elsewhere. It looks to me that they are making the platforms deeper as well as longer. They've also been built with a large 1 coach gap to the existing platforms which makes me think they plan to demolish...
