I suspect many people find the minimum connections times used on nationalrail are a bit overgenerous, especially if you're familar with the larger stations & which platforms serve which routes.

Hi folks,
In a local transport committee discussion about 20mph limits, a bus company rep claimed that buses are less efficient at 20mph than 30mph (thereby using more fuel & emitting more C02. At first I thought that didn't sound right, but I'm starting to think it might be true. (I also...

Current plans for the Toton station show a single access road from a new junction with the A52 just east of where it crosses the tracks. Very few buses go along the A52 here, maybe only the Nottm-Derby red arrow?
(4 classic line platforms & 2 Tram platforms are already in the plans)

a friend of a friend has launched a new website

The concept is to let you book train tickets all over UK/Schengen countries from 1 website.

Dear all,
I'm looking for photos of steam locos pulling both passenger and freight wagons for a little project I'm working on. Does anyone have any suggestions. Ideally something like 2-4 passenger cars then rakes of wagonload freight cars. As a last resort a model railway photo would suffice...
