I suspect many people find the minimum connections times used on nationalrail are a bit overgenerous, especially if you're familar with the larger stations & which platforms serve which routes.
NationalRail allows shorter connections times to cross London but not for anywhere else.
Do any of the other website offer this facility?

Although you can't book tickets, FastJP (http://www.fastjp.com/#home) allows you to specify a negative connection time. The negative connection time takes the time off the minimum connection time (for example putting -4 at Manchester Piccadilly takes 4 minutes off the minimum connection time of 10 minutes and leaves a 6-minute minimum connection time).

Thanks fishquin, I had a look at fastjp, but I didn't see any connection time feature, maybe they've changed the UI since you last used it?

You do it using the Go Via options.

• Stopovers at any via station are configurable: after adding the via, select Must change here and fill in the minimum layover time requred
• Unofficial connections may be forced by adding a negative layover time at the relevant via/change station

One assumes you can find the minimum connection times at stations? If not go to BRtimes and type in the station you want. Of course fastjp will take off your chosen amount from all stations you change at for a given search but its sometimes worth knowing as most stations are 5 minutes, and taking (to use an earlier example) 4 from that makes a 1 minute connection tight where as taking 4 from Euston's 15 minute or 4 from Retford's 10 minute if you're not doing a P2 to P4 etc are more than acceptable.
Just remember that Delay Repay is not payable, nor the obligation to put you on the next available service if you do not adhere to the minimum connection time.
