New Departure Boards at Manchester Victoria

Passed through Manchester Victoria today, they have changed the departure screens on the concourse from the 1 train per screen layout to the Piccadilly style, 'Next Fastest Train To'. Also looks like they are now using the Northern Rail digital screens, not the Infotec LED ones that were there...

My local station has just become a Penalty Fares station with Northern requiring you to print out a Promise to Pay notice from the TVM. A while ago, TPE announced that they were taking over the local stopping services from Northern on the Leeds-Huddersfield-Manchester route as of the May 2018 timetable change. There was an article in the news today about it, so it got me thinking what the timetable would be like. Has TPE...

    Oyster capping on thameslink

If you use the Thameslink between St Pancras and Blackfriars, with an oyster card, is it included in the off-peak tube/dlr/overground daily cap for zones 1-2? Also are buses included or do they have a different capping system? We are going on Thursday so may not be able to use the tube if...

New CIS at stations rebooting themselves?

Metro have installed platform screens at my local station. On one platform the screen is off completely and on the other displays a welcome message then reboots itself every 2/3 minutes. The time is also out by 12 hours. Anyone know why? Or when they might work correctly?

    Automatic Ticket Gates at Huddersfield

TransPennine Express applied to put ticket gates at this station in November 2012. Planning was approved by the local council on 30 January 2013. How long might it take for the ATGs (Automatic Ticket Gates) to be installed and running?
