Does anybody know the reason for the delay to this service. At Charing we heard initially that it was a fire on one of the diesels at Lenham, then that it was failure of a diesel.
With all of the major work being carried out, not only Crossrail, there is probaly a lot of railway archeology being uncovered. The Shakespeare Cliff is one example where it won't be practical to preserve it, but how much of it is even appreciated, let alone recorded.

My son-in-law told me that the doors on a 395, on which he was travelling, opened before the train came to a halt at Canterbury West. I understood that there were interlocks to prevent this occurring. Is this not the case?

Does anybody know why there was a Southern 377 at Ashford this morning - going down through platform 5 at 0735.
I can't see anything on RTT that would match.
