Does the easement allowing certain railcard holders to travel with off-peak tickets on peak-time VT services still exist, and if so does it extend to the Two Together railcard please?

I was on a service from Stratford to Tottenham Hale last week and saw one of the new Eurostar sets in what I assume was Temple Mills depot. I assume this is for driver & crew training purposes for now. Does anyone know when they'll start in passenger service?

Just a thought, would it make sense for the Watford DC line between Euston and Queen's Park to be converted to OHLE AC? It'd eliminate the requirement for all of the dual voltage infrastructure in and around Euston (instead just having a changeover in the platforms at Queen's Park). Same applies...
I've noticed a loud noise, somewhere between a "spang" and a "thung" from somewhere around the pantograph on both the LO 378s when running on AC and then again more recently on a GA 379. Has anyone else heard this? Any clues as to what it is? Is it normal/expected behaviour?
