Does the easement allowing certain railcard holders to travel with off-peak tickets on peak-time VT services still exist, and if so does it extend to the Two Together railcard please?

Thanks!

It still applies, but not with the Two Together Railcard I'm afraid. Checked with Virgin's Retail Support team when they announced the national launch of the Railcard.

Given that there are no eligibility restrictions on the Two Together (apart from having to travel together) it would make a bit of a mockery of the whole thing as any two business people from Manchester who happen to be travelling at the same time could buy a TT card, use it once and then throw it away, and thereby travel to London and back at peak time for £135.20 instead of £622.

Let's not forget that the Two Together Railcard is not valid for use on journeys commencing between 0430 and 0930* anyway!
