In the last week I’ve experienced the complimentary First Class breakfasts on LNER, Virgin and EMT.
At least in my limited experience, EMT had the best product.
Food started being served about 10 minutes out of London and the full breakfast after about 15 minutes. You get 2 huge slices of...
On the EMT website under the listing of trains that offer breakfast service in First Class, it shows the 8:31 from St Pancras as having full breakfast service.
However in the timetable, it shows it as having light breakfast.
Can anyone confirm which it is?
I am in the midst of planning a trip using BritRail 1st Class passes for myself and my 2 kids.
I’ve done this numerous times before, but this is my first time with kids.
Anyway, I’m planning a day trip from London to Chester Zoo. I was looking at the 7:10 from Euston to Chester (weekday in...
Would you be entitled to a First Class meal on a Cross Country service from Bristol to Exeter? The service I'm specifically thinking of is the 11:44 departure from Bristol...
Thanks.
This is probably a stupid question...
But I was wondering with first class breakfast on Virgin and East Coast, are you able to request scrambled eggs instead of fried for the breakfasts?
Just wondering if they accommodate requests like that?
It shows on National Rail that there is track work affecting East Coast trains on Feb 12 and train times are revised. Ie 9:00 departure from kings cross is leaving 20 mins earlier.
Are services diverted? Or just running slow?
I will be taking the Enterprise for the first time in a few weeks from Belfast to Dublin. I have a few questions...
Is the train completely unreserved? If not, are there any unreserved coaches like Coach E on Pendolinos? How early would you get to Belfast Central to get a good seat? (it...
2 friends and I are visiting from Canada in February (I was born in the UK and have visited many times). Anyway....
We are flying into Glasgow, then immediately take the train to Stranraer, bus or taxi to cairnryan then ferry to Belfast. A couple of days later we will be taking Irish Ferries...
We are doing a UK/Ireland trip from overseas in February. We are flying into Glasgow, then rail/ferry to Belfast, Belfast to Dublin, then RailSail from Dublin to London via Irish Ferries Ulysses.
We will be buying the RailSail ticket from Irish Ferries and will pick up tickets at Dublin...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question...
A group of 3 of us will be using the Enterprise from Belfast to Dublin on a weekday in February (the 8:00).
How busy is the Enterprise? Do they have reserved seats? We will probably be buying our tickets that morning...
Doing SailRail from Dublin - London in February on a Saturday. How does the Weekend First upgrade work? Can you buy it from the ticket office prior to boarding? Or only from the guard? Can you sit in an unreserved First Class seat and then just pay the guard when he/she checks tickets?
Some friends and I will be travelling Glasgow - Cairnryan - Belfast in February. We will be taking the 15:30 ferry from Cairnryan. For that particular sailing, it looks like it is still possisble to take the 11:42 from Glasgow Central to Stranraer (arriving 13:54).
Are there taxis at...
Some friends and I will be doing this route on a Saturday in February. We plan on getting the 8:05 Irish Ferries ship arriving Holyhead at 11:30. On Saturdays, the next direct train to London is what I believe to be the Pendolino drag (assuming that is what still happens on this train) that...
