Not eligible for delay repay when travelling earlier to avoid a delay?

They have avoided a delay if they arrived at or before their booked itinerary, which was clearly stated in this case. They didn't rebook, they just took an earlier train so avoided the £10 rebooking fee plus difference in fare which could also be seen as compensation. Seems like receiving delay...

Not eligible for delay repay when travelling earlier to avoid a delay?

But it wasn't a flexible ticket. They have already made concessions by allowing the passenger to travel early to enable them to avoid a delay. It was their choice whether they took up this offer or took a later service and claimed for the delay.

Not eligible for delay repay when travelling earlier to avoid a delay?

I think it's the customer who is trying to have their cake and eat it. The clue is in the name "Delay Repay". No delayee, no repayee.

    Annoying television adverts...

Still hate the chewing gum ads with mouths in foreheads 1727798416 True. But the recent Andrex ones with a woman farting at her desk or the bloke dancing in the loo are just weird.

    Accommodation suggestions and reviews

I would say that the Central Milton Keynes Travelodge is less central to Milton Keynes than the Milton Keynes at The Hub Travelodge. Although the former is slightly closer to Milton Keynes Central station and not uphill from it.

    “Better than average” Wetherspoons

It will take as long to quash this nonsense rumour as it did to quash the rumour about 'Spoons only selling beer that is about to go off. People will still be regurgitating it well in to the next century.

At least with Victoria, you have the option of The Willow Walk just outside on Wilton Road. Turn right after using the Wilton Road exit near Platform 1. It used to be cheaper too but I don't think there is any difference now. 1725894540 I generally have no idea of the political beliefs and...

    “Better than average” Wetherspoons

WhatPub gives an idea that real ale is generally available but with all pubs there is always the chance they have run out of cask. The 'Spoons app is good for checking availability as it is supposed to be updated in more or less real time. I quite liked the Paddle Steamer in Largs but mainly...

    Annoying television adverts...

There's an ad (that I've only seen on ITVx but may be available on other channels) for LNER with a furry puppet muppet dancing around the carriage and doing headspins on the ceiling. Seriously annoying.

    “Better than average” Wetherspoons

I've visited hundreds and have to say that the number which are proper dives is minimal but they are the ones that get the publicity because they fit the narrative portrayed by the media and comedians looking for a cheap laugh. The worst ones have been in the London suburbs. The majority are...

I heard he's taking over presenting Inside the Factory from Greg Wallace. I expect it to be the last season. I would gladly pay double the licence fee if the BBC guaranteed that none of it was going his way.

    Annoying television adverts...

It just annoys me that the guy who keeps losing the ticket is entrusted to look after it time and again. And the Whoop Whoop Celebrations ad is back. Joy to the world. It's "Black Friday Month" now, don't you know?

Confirmed : HS2 West Midlands-Manchester line to be scrapped and replaced with other projects.

Bradford (Low Moor) to Manchester (Littleborough) might be doable in 30 minutes.

    Club Avanti

I found the 10% was only valid if you booked 2 Advance singles rather than a return ticket. Which it did actually say in the small print but I misinterpreted it. Got a free cup of coffee though.

    Annoying television adverts...

Most of the major stores spend a fortune on their Christmas adverts with months of planning. The amount of effort seems rarely reflected in the finished product.
