    Boris Johnson is a liability.

I'm really biting my tongue. I can't really work out what it is you can't understand.

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Perhaps you should just explain to the UK government and the people in the EU we are negotiating with why it simply isn't a problem to have an open border between ROI and NI because you obviously know something no one else does.

To be honest I am passed caring today. Enjoy your sovereignty and all the other joys of Brexit.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Perhaps you should get involved in the negotiates and explain to everyone how the need for a hard border with the EU will not hinder CTA. It seems you have an easy answer no one else can see. I said it was complicated the other day and you said it wasn't. Stil waiting to hear why not.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

So Jaguar Landrover, is that Project Fear as well? Do you think the people who run one of our highest value exporters know less than you? Why would they say that they may have to quit the UK if it looks like a no deal Brexit? What do you know that they don't? Do you think they are just bricking...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Why not find out how to contact your MEP then? In the UK do you know how to contact Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees-Mogg or Theresa May? Why do you need to contact Guy Verhoftstadt?

Are there still any 'bashers' on today's railways?

Enjoy mate. It's still fun using the railways for me. I just don't do it the way I used to. That said it wasn't much fun getting from South Parkway to Lime Street after 20:00 this evening. Ha ha. That said I still had far more options than when it was Allerton Station years back. Even had 68026...

    Ha ha, fair point.

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Never said they had anything to do with the referendum. Polls in the ROI tend to show a large majority happy to remain. Nothing to do with Schengen, am talking about leavers thinking we can keep an open border because of the pre existing free travel agreement. I don't know if this is the case...

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

The whole free travel agreement thing gets complicated when we decide to leave a huge trade block that the ROI doesn't want to leave. I haven't been able to find anyone who can explain exactly where that stands. As for you wanting to ignore the fact that the majority of people over there don't...

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Ah right, You do realise that the vast majority of those none EU citizens that are granted citizenship in Germany, Belgium or wherever actually stay there. we are not Forced to take refugees. Perhaps Rees-Mogg and bloody Johnson should ask Italy how they are currently legally allowed to turn...

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Can you show me where the ROI government is arguing with the EU that a hard border should not be put in place if we leave without an agreement. Remember the majority of Northern Ireland voted remain.

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Freedom of movement with control over who comes in is a contradiction you realise?
  15. fowler9

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Hmmmm. So what you guys want is control of our borders back except for one and you expect the EU to do the same because it eliminates a rather awkward problem for us.

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Alright, I'm happy to accept that. Do the majority of the Republics exports cross the land border in to Northern Ireland or come by ship or aircraft in to the UK? If so a bit of wiggle room would be preferable. I still don't think you can directly compare it to bending the rules for countries...

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

We won't be in the EU. Why should they even consider bending the rules to suit a non member?
  18. fowler9

    Boris Johnson is a liability.

Regarding Rees-Mogg talking about the Irish Border and EU rules, I don't see it the same as some. The EU bending the rules for people who are members of or want to be members of the EU (When they think it will benefit the EU) are not in the slightest bit like bending the rules for a country that...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

How will kids afford homes if prices only rise by £15k if wages aren't going up and they already can't afford them? I was dealing with endowment complaints in the entire build up to the crash and all I got told none stop every day by customers was how they got sold low cost endowments on the...
