    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

The passengers have to sit in the passenger saloon. If it's too dangerous for the staff, then surely it's too dangerous for the customers, and the whole lot should be shut down [/hyperbole]. In seriousness though, isn't part of the role of the guard customer service and customer reassurance...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

What are the actual issues now that are not acceptable to the unions? Are they easy to fix, or are we looking at a fundamental cab redesign? What about the door opening at speed issue, was that sorted?

    Class 315 Withdrawals

Is there still a plan in the interim period to keep a handful of 7 cars for the ex GWR Paddington platform 14 peak terminators, or is there going to be some platform jiggery-pokery after the May timetable change?

    Southern Class 455 Withdrawal

They are about 40 years old. They are knackered. Why would anyone want to reuse stock of that age? Rolling stock in general service can't last forever.

    Destination blinds on class 455

Courtesy of the Southern Railway Email Group website: https://sremg.org.uk/headcodes/eheadcodes/eheadcodes01.html In the slammer era, the route code was all you had to guide you. For example 63 is a Basingstoke stopper, 81 is Portsmouth via Guilford fast. Are these codes still in use...

If I get a tenner for the lot I'll be happy. I just can't landfill music.

    Music Magpie- anyone used them?

I doubt anyone anywhere could prove it either way. The law has never really moved on from the days of people taping stuff off CDs.

    Music Magpie- anyone used them?

I'm finally getting rid of crates of CDs that are gathering dust in the loft. They are now all ripped to various mobile devices and triple backed up. I've seen Music Magpie advertised, I'd like to get a few quid for the pile of discs. Has anyone had experience dealing with them?
