    16-25 Railcard discount on Oyster

It's possible that the oyster control centre register it on a TOM before sending it out - I'm not sure really, everything I say in this thread is from my experience working in a London Underground Ticket office, I've never been to the OCC unfortunately.

    16-25 Railcard discount on Oyster

It's nice and confusing, that - the ticket office machines have no external connection to the internet, they can only talk to each other - so they will know if a card has been registered on another ticket office machine, but not if it has been registered online...

    16-25 Railcard discount on Oyster

Yes and no. If you make a single journey on PAY-G, then you will receive no discount - all it changes is the price at which the card 'caps' for the day.

Proposed trains for Stanstead: Class 379

From speaking to a WA driver the other day, they apparently won't be appearing on the Hertford's, but will be on the some Cambridges - it was suggested to me that Bishops Stortford drivers will be the only ones trained on these units, as they do the Stansted Express' and some Cambridge services.

    Website Prices and Law?

If you have been charged for the item, then I believe you have the law on your side... If your in a shop and something is priced wrong, if you take it to the till and the retailer notices it before you pay, they can 'withdraw the item from sale' immediately and alter the price to the correct...

    16-25 Railcard discount on Oyster

The form is registration - you need to register your card before the discount entitlement can be added. You can register your card online, but to add the discount entitlement you need to visit a staffed LU ticket office.

    Trainee Drivers (First Capital Connect)

Thank you - I was just trying to make the point that I didn't miss it ;D Oh well, there we go - I shall just have to see what LU find for me, and at 21 if I think my opportunities are better upstairs then I shall have to re-assess at the time ;)

Anyone know where I can get mileage tables for London Underground?

I can get individual line mileage, (just for LU though), when I go back to work on the 5th, if it helps! Send me a PM nearer the time to remind me, if you like.

    Semi-automatic Signals

Most simply a semi-automatic it is automatic because it automatically returns to red once a train passes it, but semi because a signaller changes it to green. A fully automatic signaller returns to green itself once the appropriate block sections are clear =)

No-where there does it mention a minimum age of 21. Thank you.

Are there specific fleet lists for London Underground stock?

I go back to work early January - I'll have a look on the intranet see if I can see any, although I must say it's not something I've come across before.

    Collecting Advance Tickets from Machines

I'm not sure if the machines can read cards without chips, (although when I worked in a ticket office we could read them). However, I can say that whether or not you can collect them from a machine, a national rail ticket office will be able to print them for you, even if it's not at the...

    Trainee Drivers (First Capital Connect)

I didn't see a restriction on the advert.. and the age question was on the last page of the application, by which point there was no option to cancel, only submit. It really annoys me when that happens - I would much rather be told 'no thank you, we've filled all the positions' than be lied...

    Trainee Drivers (First Capital Connect)

Sir, there is no need to be rude. Perhaps I was unaware of the difference in minimum ages between LU and NR prior to applying for this job? Maybe that's why I am currently an Operational Apprentice for London Underground.
