Only if it's an advance ticket, if it's an anytime you're free to go in whatever the price. An anytime day single is £6.80 in First Class which is quite good to be honest.

I came across this new “feature” when looking for a train from London Euston to Crewe, and a message box randomly popped up saying “Discounts with Split tickets. We've found 0 savings on your journey. There's no difference to your journey. You'll just have more tickets than usual.” There were...

Speaking of the 20:36 route 31 bus, it looked like it might have skipped a few stops in the Winsford area tonight, according to the BusTimes tracking.

Probably, I'm on ID which uses the 3 network.

the Trent Valley line is not that great, also between Crewe and Stafford it's particularly bad in my experience.

This route already has an off peak return ticket for £101.30. As the price of the "any permitted route" ticket is set by TPE, it is not included in the "trial".

Oh, I also heard an announcement at Bidston today stating the same.

The post may have been deleted but the message still remains in real life. Picture of “Tickets bought via trainline or other third party retailers must be printed at a station before travel. Merseyrail do not accept digital tickets.” On a digital screen at Moorfields station

Will N3 have the same/similar fares as N4?

I bought an off peak return last time and that was fine. Just needed to ensure I selected an LNER train although in reality I used Northern & TPE

You can use the tpexpress.co.uk website to book seat reservations on any train company. No proof of ticket is needed and it's free. This could get a better chance of being seated together, in the past when I've booked multiple seat reservations together it's worked most of the time. 1. Log in...

Just managed to top up my Uber with another £40.00. I still have £45 remaining from the previous offer in Autumn, plus used a referral code a friend gave me which got me an extra £10.

https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/03/20/save-10-on-uber-gift-cards/ I know it's been posted in the other thread but I'll put it here too, Uber has 10% off gift cards purchased via Amazon. Coupled with the 10% cashback, that is a very good 20% saving.

Just to add, the day saver doesn’t actually have a 16-17 saver discount. Rather this is just a general “young persons discount” that anyone aged 18 or under can use regardless of if they have a railcard or not. https://www.merseyrail.org/tickets-passes/daily-travel/day-saver/

I was once on a 1h 45m delayed TPE, after exactly an hour they started handing out drinks. They ran out of hot water after the first carriage. The catering woman for the train scheduled 2h after us was unaware of the disruption and turned up to the platform as normal, so they could borrow her...

Ouch. Some last trains of the day to/from both Glasgow Central and Edinburgh have been part cancelled and they have ordered overnight coaches instead. Including an 18:52 coach from Edinburgh which doesn't get to Birmingham until 05:32 (6 and a half hour delay)...

Looks like the travelcard fare from my local station, Winsford, has gone up by 5.85% Previously £53.00. Now £56.10. Not as bad as I thought it would be, thought it would go up to like £60 or something!

It looks like Avanti standard premium upgrade prices have gone up. For example, Crewe to Euston is now £30. Previously £25 https://www.brfares.com/!faredetail?orig=CRE&dest=EUS&rte=474&tkt=25Q

London Northwestern Railway is offering 50% off Advance Tickets to/from London Euston when you sign up to their newsletter. Book by 31st March, travel from 26th February to 30th April. Not valid with railcards. Must be to or from London Euston. Must book through the app...

There is a railcard discount, as you can see there is the railcard symbol and the more expensive price crossed out.
