That’s the travel period. The sale period is just a few days - I don’t have the details to hand.

It should be available from all retailers, not just Northern.

I would very much like to understand what happened, and why it was not possible to run any sort of service on Sunday. Was there a back up plan, but it too failed? Or was there no adequate back up at all? It is somewhat ironic that retailers / TIS suppliers are held to much higher standards...

I have to say this is a real problem for me for members of my family and the new refund terms since 1st April have been a significant retrograde step when planning trips now. Genuinely I actually travel less now because of this (I mean it affects travelling companions and planning for them...

Oh come on, that was over 15 years ago. It's now 4.5% for third party retailers. The real question is not whether the 4.5% that's given to third party retailers is right or wrong. But do the TOCs when they are selling tickets operate within 4.5% or do they spend a lot more than 4.5% on selling...

There's about 350 TVMs in that, which presumably account for the £53m outsourced.

I've seen Gmail muddle up time zones frequently. Is this definitely the Avanti part of the email? And not a Gmail summary at the top?

Assuming that it's a Manchester Stations to Liverpool Lime Street Off-Peak Day Return, for Northern only, then it's valid on any train after 09:30. Unfortumately https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/tickets/off-peak does not appear to be written by someone who has a good understanding of how...

What normal tickets can't be bought?

I'm confused. What's your ultimate destination?

It looks like TfL have now extended one of the tube lines to Luton Airport. Anyone know which one? There's also a location called "Luton Airport Parkway DART" (sic) which is an 11-minute walk from Luton Airport Parkway, apparently.

At a guess, because there are no scheduled services to Stromness, it's just selecting the alphabetically-first Scottish station (a bit of a stretch!)

They were, 8.5 years ago. Almost a decade old, now...
