    More tube advertising?

I saw a picture on Reddit of a Northern Line Guinness advert. It is effectively a Dark Mode line map, with a white top in the style of a Guinness glass. I have unsuccessfully searched for another source for this - it might be that this is an early image of it, or it may be some form of...

TfL anti fare evasion effort intensifies

The one time (guess I've been lucky) I've been on a bus that has broken down, three instruction was to tap in on the new bus and pay a second fare. It predated hopper fares. When I've been on a bus that is being stopped short, the next bus (whenever that may be) has needed a tap in. And with...

Train buttons that do not press- a criticism

Oh!!! Is that why one of the banks of lifts at the Royal London has a sign near it pointing to the "accessible lifts"? That always has me scratching my head. (It's a bank of lifts where you have to choose a destination on the outside, and I have only got myself stuck in one once so far)

Staff members giving their names in announcements

When Dave Smith leaves, you can give his badge to Dave Jones. Saved the budget airline a fiver there.

Staff members giving their names in announcements

This is interesting reading - I do stuff in both a software and medical field. The only time a customer knows my name (or even that I exist) is in a meeting, or if I have authored some paperwork and many name is in there. My previous software job, I was support, development, installation...

Bakerl0.0 line - new TFL advertising

0.0xford would look so much better

Bakerl0.0 line - new TFL advertising

Serious one - was there much at the time? Or were people used to tube stations getting renamed every few years? I suppose we had less international travel then, and the attitude to disabled people was more "stop being disabled!" There is also the difference between a long term renaming and...

Bakerl0.0 line - new TFL advertising

Road mileages do, tube mileages are from Ongar. (Or has that been updated?)

Bakerl0.0 line - new TFL advertising

If they have to rename, wouldn't 0.0xford be a neater way of doing it?

Bakerl0.0 line - new TFL advertising

I was going to ask about this yesterday. Saw a picture of a Bakerl0.0 sign, came here to see if it was being discussed (or was real). Saw another picture just now and checked. They're learning from the Balfour Beatty Street? Blueberry Street? Whatever it was thing, which is a good thing. To get...

You wouldn't drink port if it turned green

Great British Railways: Station identity and livery unveiling (09/12/25)

So... This is a long thread already and I have skipped bits of it. Interesting idea, poor execution? It would be interesting to see an NSE/this hybrid - GBR angles at the front going into static stripes

Great British Railways: Station identity and livery unveiling (09/12/25)

Would a mostly dark blue livery with a horizontal red and white stripe, perhaps with diagonal stripes at the end be in keeping with the union flag motif, without actively being a flag waving effort?

Altnabreac station and the various legal disputes around it

I'm getting lost again. They went to court. Skipped the other hearings. Got an arrest warrant. That was then executed the day before one trial, taking them to yet another court, so they didn't attend the case happening the same day in a different court. (I'm guessing that "I was nicked and in...

Gatwick Express stock re-badged to Southern

And again I wonder how they are dealing with tickets enforcement? If you have people not board the red stopper and get on the non-red express that comes?

TfL are prosecuting a woman for walking the wrong way on an escalator

How do you accidentally walk against the motion of an escalator? Daily Mail ragebait?

Altnabreac station and the various legal disputes around it

I'm not suggesting you were trespassing - from my lens. From theirs - who knows. If they consider the platform to be "their property", then the act of using the train might be trespass in their eyes? Obviously none of that would apply to a rational mind, but watching this from the outside keeps...

Altnabreac station and the various legal disputes around it

"This guy has been STALKING us at court, turning up to our house, and it was all a PLOT for him to STEAL it from us!"

Altnabreac station and the various legal disputes around it

I had wondered if you would end up on their radar. And I'm guessing this can feed right back to the initial dispute? "styles is on our property!" "No, I was on the station platform." "Exactly! Our property!"
