Despite not showing as running on RTT, https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O63653/2019-11-29/detailed comprised of 442413 and 442417 just arrived at Brockenhurst P2, stopped briefly despite a green signal and departed again (seemingly without releasing doors).

GWR do seem to check against the London Terminals feed on their TVMs, but this made it significantly harder to buy a ticket on a perfectly valid - indeed offered by NRE without adding via points - route. I had to buy it as a "ticket from another station", selecting an origin of London Terminals...

Hypothetically (ignoring regulatory and implementation difficulties) I imagine this could be done over GSM-R, of course needing a higher bit rate than a typical voice channel.

If you are quick touching in and out; looks like Waterloo to Queenstown Road going the full way round the Hounslow Loop should be doable within the 1h40 Oyster max journey time - would be expensive if you were delayed though!

In the end, this might be possible, but I think they don't have to disclose information if it might prejudice legal proceedings, so they'd have to either have decided to take no legal action or wait for any proceedings to finish before disclosing.

It's also a benefit to those who don't know so much English - when travelling in Europe I've often found it easier to understand a foreign language on a screen, particularly when compared to a manual announcement or if looking out for a place name of unknown pronunciation.
