Hi Does anyone have up to date information in FLIM salary, conditions, pensions etc
Any local info regarding IM depot at Mossend re links and jobs etc would be appreciated. ( I imagine they will be based there after Coatbridge shuts if it does)
TIA
Nice Try

Hi
Can only answer some
1: No, outside with commitment to work
2: Not Sure
3: 6 weeks full 6 weeks half for first year then up to 16 weeks until year 5 then 6 months, LNER same
4: Subjective, a lot of their depots do have a lot of variety compare to other Intercity operators
Cheers
Hi, not sure what training rate is for Qualifieds probably £55k ish then after 16 weeks you go up to full salary which is a lot better than other intercity increment.
ASLEF Generally are pragmatic, they are still pro putting railways back in public hands but still have a job to do and while not always perfect try to move with the times. I do not get impression Mick Whelan wants to go back to the “good ole BR days” ..

It is the same Management by and large but so far they have calmed down the rhetoric and seem to be more focused on the basics, they are perhaps not under as much pressure as they were under VTEC days and the turning up...
I did up until recently, Edinburgh has a decent route card and various traction however their work content is very intense compared to the three depots I mentioned earlier. You have Tweedbank and Bathgate with the latter doing a lot of stops and DOO in the area as well..
Inverness, Aberdeen, and Perth depots for variety of traction and routes would be the three I would aim for but Perth you would have a long waiting period to get onto HST links, Aberdeen and Inverness are very good depots.
You have possibly misinterpreted, a lot of Drivers from Scotrail have been offered the job in the last few weeks after the second assessment day in Preston.
FL drivers were hopeful of an early dart to start with TPE but FL not releasing them early which is their right..
I don’t wish was just asking if others had heard. I just heard rumours from a former FL driver, would make sense for them to do something as like most freight companies they are losing drivers hand over fist! Summat about the allowances all being added in as part of deal
