Obviously, on the scale of CAF failures, smoke pouring from one bogie on a coach in passenger service isn't "serious" at all....

All the new fleets were originally expected to be in service by now. Hitachi met all of their delivery targets, unlike CAF....

I fundamentally disagree, that this collapse in performance is some sort of unforeseen "accident". From what I have heard of Leo Goodwin most people report he has an astonishing mind for detail, and there were enough indicators leading up the timetable change that things were not going to plan...

The return service from Scarborough, 1P92, the 19.34 Airport service, is terminating at York, it looks like it will then form 1E53 back to Scarborough (normally the 21.15 ex Man Vic) starting from York at 22. 41.

Except for the hiccup this morning with 68027 (unusual, as that's been the most reliable so far) and the subsequent cancellation of its diagram for the day, I would say Scarborough is having its its best TPE service for some weeks, so far (that'll jinx it now!)...

Well, there should be two 68's in Scarborough tonight (022 & 027) so that's one important piece of the jigsaw in place for 4 diagrams tomorrow. We shall see what transpires in the morning.

Looks like its game over for the day for 68019 - 1F66, the 12.34 ex Scarborough was terminated at Man Vic "due to a problem with the traction equipment". So just 027 left in traffic today. Very, very disappointing.

There's a eastern exit from Ardwick depot to Ashbury's, I'm surprised any units were "trapped" there....

As I have stated previously, the ratio of trained crews to diagrams is insufficient, it may have worked "on paper" but it doesn't in the real world with real people. Therefore, there is a heavy reliance on rest day working to make up the shortfall. Obviously, if staff are working their rest day...
